Charles, 02 May 2017Please can any one tell me, can i buy this phone, is it worth for this amount, i am thinking o... moreWhat's the asking price in your area? Are you willing to pay that much for this phone? It's your call.
But let me tell you something. I lost my Note 4 last January and since then I've been tracking this device (rumored at that time). I liked what was coming forward. Finally it was launched at it was the best looking phone in the market (absolutely my opinion only). But comparing to other phones it wasn't much to provide. Yes, it has bigger and better screen, has a great screen to body ratio, a unique design. BUT it has the same performance even after the upgrade of the processor. Yes, the RAM management and the UI is better now, but it's the same old. The S7 & S7e has the same performance like S8 & S8+. The camera is just upgraded through software (though they changed the hardware with similar, not the same, sensor). It's basically the same old Galaxy S series inside.
Now, I have played with S7e (as S7 is unavailable in the markets in our country). I found that S7e is good, but what stopped me from buying it was the palm rejection of the curved screen. Whenever I held the phone, the screen was either unresponsive or opening apps by itself that I don't want to open. So if you consider the daily usage, it would definitely hurt your usage.
Had I have my Note 4 with me now, I wouldn't think about buying an S7e or S8. But as that's not the case and I'm using an S4 mini (or my Note 12.2, which is very tough to carry as a phone, LOL) for the time being (even though the screen of the S4 mini is hard to read after using a bigger screen phone like Note 4 for such a long time), I feel that I need a phone with a bigger screen. S7e was rejected for the palm rejection failure. S8 is a uniquely designed phone, so I thought, why not?
Now, about the price. It's costing me around 950USD in my country. But with the pre booking they are going to provide me DeX (with the fast charging), which costs around 160USD. Again, the shop I'm buying from, they are going to provide me a 128GB MicroSD card for free, which would cost me 100USD. So, deducting those we get 690USD, which, in my book is very cheap, considering that if I want to buy an S7e, it will cost me around 720USD at present in my country. But had S8 been 900USD and above (which is the case now, that the pre booking is over), I wouldn't definitely buy it. To me, the phone is costing 690USD only (though I am paying much more, but getting all the value returned).
That was my case. Now you think about it yourself. Are you willing to spend this much money or not. If you have the cash, go to the shops and hold it for yourself. I was attached to it when I first held it in my hands. It felt amazing. You can see that the screen is so big, which makes you believe that you won't be able to reach to the farthest corners, but I could, and I'm talking about S8, NOT S8+. I always wanted to have a curved screen since Note edge (which was a variant of my Note 4, but at that time edge panel was not refined like now, but more like a show off).
It's your call now. I hope I have cleared the roads for your thoughts. I don't know you personally, so I don't know what you want and/or need. It's you who will have to understand it and buy accordingly. If not the S8, there are plenty of options around - LGG6, iP7 & iP7+, Oppo3T, HTCU and the list goes on. You go to your nearby shops and see what you can find at what price. Then look here in GSMarena and compare the specifications and go through the reviews. Then you will have an idea which one of the phones you want. Then make your call.
Have fun. Take care, Ciao...
Gerald , 02 May 2017While that's clearly a noteworthy achievement, Samsung has stayed mum on exactly how many unit... moreAt least I have provided you some evidence those back up my words. Now, if you please back up your words, particularly on S8 (or S8+)
1. being a flop worldwide
2. battery draining fast
3. being ugly
There is numerous videos on YouTube that shows how S8 is winning on battery test against other flagship phones. I'm not particularly taking any names to avoid conflicts. But why don't you do a search and find it out yourself if you're not lazy.
What about the other points I made? You seem like avoiding them on purpose. I was so looking forward that you'd try to confront me.on them, but glad.to.know that you've come to your senses.
If you do a search you'll find out that not only in US (the link was just an example), but in Korea, in India they have also broke the previous records. On the rest of the world they are on par.
If you follow the tech world, you'll know that Samsung is not doing good on TVs, LG & Sony is the king there, fridge, washing machine, AC and other gadgets are the same for Samsung. They are doing okay on other segments, but in mobile devices, they are doing excellent.
At least know what's going on around before making such bold comments. Else your comments become nothing else but a laughing stock.
Have a good time with your iPhone. An iPhone is ONLY good if you use it with the Apple environment (iPaf, Macbook, iWatch etc). In Android world you can get the things that you see fit. I used my LG Watch Urbane with a Note 4 and Note 12.2 Tab with a Dell XPS. I don't like to be controlled and compelled to stick to one environment for using my things to the fullest. That's why I'm against using the Apple product. All my gadgets work in perfect syncronization even without being manufactured by one company.
Finally, if you're happy with your iPhone, why are you wasting your precious time in an s8 forum? The answer is, you're not satisfied. Be satisfied, or stop pretending to be satisfied and have the thing that satisfies you. Take care. Ciao...
aa, 02 May 2017Samsung dex need mouse sensitivity option. cursor moves too fast I think it's related to Android mostly. I had an Asus Transformer hybrid tablet and i had too high sensitivity when using its dock's pad.

This leads us to think that the actual number would still pale in comparison to Apple's records in this area, which is why the Korean company is choosing not to reveal.
Suhanoo - Is this your evidence seriously come on they've not even released any Digits. "PALE IN COMPARISON WITH APPLE. Stay safe Gerald.

The financial link doesn't show the galaxy s8 Made profits, These covers Samsung Tv's , Camera's , Laptops , Ect.
What's the 3rd link got to do with anything.
People always say 'battery drains too fast' and they didn't even try to think what kind of apps are running on their phone, dig deeper dude.
Gerald , 02 May 20171 you didn't explain the benefits of wireless charging.

2. Yes, I tried to made a point on that. If you still didn't understand it, well uninstall those apps I told you about earlier.
3. I wasn't desperate to prove you anything, just giving an example so that thick brainers can even understand.
4. Why the hell will I make you buy an S8? Is Samsung paying me anything? This is the difference between iFans or AndroidFanboys and me. I just put on the truths in front of everybody, be that iPhone or Android. I say every time that iPhones are faster even if the multicore scores are lower than Androids every time. But you are pushing everyone on buying an iPhone instead. It's your money, your choice whether you use iOS or Android or Windows or BBOS.
5. Not majority, but ALL of my points are truth on topic. As you're ignoring the truth, it's sounding biased to you. As I said, grapes are sour.
6. I guess I'm looking into the Internet more than you do, dude. I found that Android users choose a slow but customisable device where iOS users choose a fast but generic device. I mean, just changing your wallpaper, that's it? Anyway, not going there again. And if you are pointing to S8 based on how many S8 units sold vs how many S7 units.sold, then you're wrong. You can't compare a child with a grown up, nor apple (not iPhone apple) with oranges. FYI, S8 broke the record of pre orders of all time already. Let it pass one year and then you should compare the sales of S8 with S7' sale right now. Do me a favour and browse in the News part of GSMArena, you'll find the stories that I just told you are true, unlike your assumption on S8 being a flop. Please back me up with the news, gimme some link like I did.
Here are some links (from the very GSMArena that you are on) to back up my words:
Unlike you, I'm not a lazy guy. I backed you up with the links supporting my points. I would appreciate if you stop being lazy and provide me some links on the topic that S8 is a flop. Please, don't urgue until you can show some proofs. Waiting eagerly.
Take care everyone. Ciao...
Suhanoo, 02 May 2017So, according to you, those who drive an auto gear vehicle is lazy because the new technology ... more1 you didn't explain the benefits of wireless charging.
2 Do you understand sarcasm LAZY the word you've repeated in your comments.
3 you sound extremely desperate to prove a point.
4 Why haven't you innovated me as I requested you try and make me buy a galaxy s8 in my previous comment.
5 Can't be asked anymore with your Bible of reasons on why the galaxy is worth buying. Majority of your speeches are bias on the topic.
6 Look on the internet pal Majority of samsung fans hate it , but your still in denial on the fact that the galaxy s8 is a Flop compared to the Galaxy s7.
Shit man battery drains to fast .

Chloe , 01 May 2017Does this phone have a vibrator, could I increase the intensity. For your pleasure of course it has, enjoy your life.
Please can any one tell me, can i buy this phone, is it worth for this amount, i am thinking of buying this S8
I recently purchase s8 but it didnot meet my expectation i am using my google pixel which is far better than s8
Gerald , 02 May 2017Okay I said it Wireless Charging is for "LAZY" people you know the one's who can't take a matt... moreSo, according to you, those who drive an auto gear vehicle is lazy because the new technology is now auto gear and people don't use manual gear anymore? Then you should also say that using the fingerprint scanner and/or iris scanner and/or facial recognition and/or pattern unlock makes you lazy as well because you are trying to avoid a password or 4-8 digit pin. I don't get your point here. How can a task made easier for you makes you a lazy person? Then why do you use a remote on a TV? Why don't you go up and tune in the channels or volume, you lazy guy? Why do you even use a car? Why don't you walk or run or keep a horse to go from here to there, you lazy guy? Why do you take print from a document? Why don't you write down in a piece of a paper from the document, you lazy guy?
Because, hear me clearly, the technology has enabled those ease of work for us.The only reason iPhone users scream about iPhone being faster in real life is because it opens the apps a mere second faster than the Androids. I don't find people calling them lazy for being a few seconds faster! If waiting a few more seconds make Android users sloppy and laggy, then they should try to become faster. And then why will you call those people lazy if they want to put their phone into charger a few seconds faster?
Please determine your own wants first. Whichever you choose to say, follow a single path. The things that is right for you cannot be wrong for me in the same environment. If you can choose to become faster and not labeled as lazy, then you should not label anyone lazy just by using a new technology. But if you still want to, I request you to through TV remotes away and use horses instead of cars and all the other things that you do because you are "lazy". You can do it. You can change the TV channels by going near the TV instead of pressing a button on the remote. It takes only few seconds, just like it takes to plug in a charger point into a phone. And you will save money on TV remote as well. And as per YOUR definition, using the remote will make you only lazy as there is NO BENEFIT of using a remote, right? Even I know some people who are using a TV without the remote. We don't call them active, we call them dumb. Do you get what I wanted to say? Please, delete the iD-umb and iD-iOt and iHate apps from your brain and start thinking straight. Just because your phone doesn't have it doesn't mean that the technology isn't worthy of using.
Take care. Ciao...
