Arun Maini (Mrwhosetheboss), a TechTuber, posted on Twitter and said that the Galaxy S8 is better in taking daylight shots, especially macro shots. The S9 though has an issue in changing apertures during days. Also, S9 has battery issues in draining so fast than its successor (The Exynos variant). So, probably this S8 is a better choice for people who don't want expensive phone that is still the same product from last year. Highly recommended this one!

amj, 17 Apr 2018can we move apps and games etc. to its memory card in dual sim models? With 64 GB of internal memory, why would you need to move your apps to the slower memory card ? Internal memory is super fast, and there is plenty of it for all my apps...only music and movies are on my card.
., 17 Apr 2018Well if you are both using the same model of S8 and are both using the same provider and you ... moreI understand what you mean now I think. My csc is TPA which is panama for some reason. I researched and it said they have 8.0. I have to check and see what is my friends CSC. We both are for sure on the same service provider tho here in Barbados, and we both have the same unlocked s8 SM-G950F but idk i will try a factory reset see if it does anything. If not well idk what i will do
Rickard, 16 Apr 2018I was aware of how fragile the S8 is, so from day one I've had a robust rubber case for it. I ... moreRickard your rubber case only barely covers the back of the phone and is thin and not wrap around. It is not thick enough to properly absorb shock. Ideally you need a folding case which also wraps around the front screen thereby affording you better protection.
Ron, 17 Apr 2018When using loudspeaker in phone calls does the other side complain of muffled sound ?...Thanks... moreProbably depends on how far away you are holding the phone from your mouth. You could be getting more background noise as well.
AnonD-752012, 17 Apr 2018But I thought if its unlocked doesnt matter service provider it would just get to your phone o... moreYeah, I thought it came straight from Samsung and I thought the beauty about having an unlocked version would be that I would receive the updates much much quicker as I would bypass the carrier and get directly from Samsung...... but apparently not (I would appreciate any clarity from anyone on this?)
AnonD-752012, 17 Apr 2018W both use the same privider here in my country. I am from Barbados a caribbean island, and bo... moreWell if you are both using the same model of S8 and are both using the same provider and you also both have S8's intended for the Barbados retail market (that region) then it looks as if it is an issue with your phone.
Perhaps someone with far greater knowledge than I have could help you out further but that is the only conclusion that I can come to.
* I say region as each phone will have a CSC code that is specific for a particular region E.g My S8 Plus has a CSC code 'XEU' which is an unlocked version for UK and Ireland. And the reason that I mention it is that it might explain why you and your friend have not received the update at the same time as you may have two different phones that were originally intended for two different regions.
Here you can find a list of those codes
You can find the csc code in a number of ways, I found easiest way was to go into 'settings' then under 'about phone' then 'software information' you will see 'service provider SW ver.
Mine for example reads SAOMC-SMG955F OXM_XEU etc etc
As you can see mine is XEU.
Sorry don't know if I'm making any sense :D
When using loudspeaker in phone calls does the other side complain of muffled sound ?...Thanks a lot !
., 17 Apr 2018It could be your service provider! Have you checked? Could be many factors E.g Is your friend... moreBut I thought if its unlocked doesnt matter service provider it would just get to your phone ota. So your telling me the service provider also must like authorize it or something before it gets through ?
., 17 Apr 2018It could be your service provider! Have you checked? Could be many factors E.g Is your friend... moreW both use the same privider here in my country. I am from Barbados a caribbean island, and both me and the person have to s8 SM-950F which is meant for gsm international networks and my sim from here gets full LTE and takes calls perfect but just the update isnt coming through. I will check with the provider and see whats up.
Rickard, 16 Apr 2018I was aware of how fragile the S8 is, so from day one I've had a robust rubber case for it. I ... moreIt always amazes me that peoples outrage is not aimed at the manufacturers of the case especially if it was as robost as you claimed.
moan moan moan about the phone .............. and then total silence about the case. In fact sometimes people praise the case I.E "Robost Rubber Case" then it falls from "Sitting Height" and WOW the case took "Most" of the impact ........ from "SITTING HEIGHT"...
Always amazes me.
amj, 17 Apr 2018can we move apps and games etc. to its memory card in dual sim models?Yes.
Normal way as the regular model
'Settings' > 'Apps' then click on the app you would like to transfer to the microSD card. Then click 'Storage' and the 'Change'
Please note not all games etc can be transferred but this is normal and would happen regardless of what phone you had.
AnonD-752012, 16 Apr 2018No i do not. Thats what i was telling u i dont have it but my friend does which is weird. My c... moreIt could be your phone also.
If all else fails and you are convinced that you should have the update now and all evidence points to that (i.e checked with service provider etc) then I would consider factory reset, if no luck then I'd be off to a service centre.
AnonD-752012, 16 Apr 2018No i do not. Thats what i was telling u i dont have it but my friend does which is weird. My c... moreIt could be your service provider! Have you checked? Could be many factors E.g Is your friend using the same Provider as you? Are you or your friend using a phone that was intended for the region that you are using it now?
It's not black and white, so don't panic! That's what I'm saying.
I am using the 3 Network (Service Provider) in the UK and did not get the update at the same time as O2 or Vodaphone Customers living in the UK for example. Furthermore I did not get the update at the same time as people living and using their phones in a different region/country e.g Germany (They got it before the UK release) the update was released region by region. China have only just started to receive Oreo in last day or so....... US carriers have only until very recently passed the update on to their Customers.
