venom0706, 03 Jun 2018I am thinking of upgrading my S7E to either S8 or S9. Which of the 2 would you recommend? I... moreI jumped from the S7 to the S8 a year ago and i got to admit it wasn't worth the extra money so if you have to change go for the S9 because you won't notice that big of a difference in performance or other stuff from the S8 but on the S9 at least you get 960fps slow mo and 60fps 4k which is not available on the S8. Get the S9+ for the double camera.
Anonymous, 02 Jun 2018Hey guy tell me which should buy iphone 7 or samsung galaxy s8 ? I recomnt u to buy iphone 7 u can get a good phone externally, but internally iphone 7 is the best even uptill now it work very fine and smooth with out any lack or hang. U can get up to dated phone with updates. Its a simple phone with no custamation u may get bore with it but if u want to sell ur phone later it will be worth than s8.
I am thinking of upgrading my S7E to either S8 or S9.
Which of the 2 would you recommend? Is the S8 still good and considered a flagship device and will it get support for at least 1 more year?

The best phone i ever had, by far...absolutely zero flaws. But of course with so much glass it is very fragile and must be very well taken care of. I don't use any glass protector or case, only a small pouch. Love it
AnonD-754294, 31 May 2018im very sorryHey, it's cool, no need to apologise. Just hope I helped:)
AnonD-754294, 31 May 2018oh but mi mix was released at 2016 And did your Mi Max use the the term 'Infinity Display'? (trade marked by Samsung)
A reminder of your question below
"this the first infinity display mobile ?"
AnonD-754294, 31 May 2018this the first infinity display mobile ?'Infinity display' is just a marketing term used by Samsung and was first used on the S8 and S8 Plus phones. The term is used for marketing purposes and promotes the S8's and S9's' high screen to body ratio (83.6% screen to body ratio)
The Essential PH1 has an even higher screen to body ratio for example at 84.9%.
Anonymous, 29 May 2018In the specs, what does "microSD, up to 400 GB (uses SIM 2 slot) - dual SIM model only" mean? ... moreI believe that there was not a legitimate 400gb microSD available on the market until after the S8 was released,.so at the time of release it would of been 256gb so that would make perfect sense why gsmarena have updated the specs.
Not 100% sure though but I think that there may be some truth to what I've said?
Anonymous, 29 May 2018In the specs, what does "microSD, up to 400 GB (uses SIM 2 slot) - dual SIM model only" mean? ... moreYeah you're right a microSD card can be used in both models.
The dual SIM version can't use a microSD card IF you have placed 2 Sim cards in the phone as It only has 2 slots, which can either be used for a microSD card AND 1 SIM or alternatively you can use 2 SIM cards in the phone.
Samsung officially says that the S8 can accommodate up to 256gb microSD as per their website.
"The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ takes SD or memory cards up to 256GB"
I believe that up until recently gsmarena had 256gb written in the specs list here for the S8, so they must of updated it as it can accommodate more. Just not officially. Well that's as I understand it?
In the specs, what does "microSD, up to 400 GB (uses SIM 2 slot) - dual SIM model only" mean? According to the Samsung info, a microSD card can be used in either the Single-SIM or Dual-Sim (hybrid) model. Also, the maximum size is 250 GB.
Taif(Dhaka), 28 May 2018After Oreo Update battery drain too fast and sometimes the backside of the phone gets too hot ... moreYou have probably asked yourself the following questions and tried to sort it out yourself, but in case not ....
Is there a particular app that you are using when the phone gets hot "like fire"? Are there many apps running in the background for example at the time? Game etc? Anything that you are doing on the phone when this happens in particular?
It's just worthwhile asking yourself these questions before jumping to the conclusion that it's the upgrade to Oreo that has caused the issue.
Worth also checking in 'Device Maintainance', see if the phone can be Optimised and perform cleaning with the tools in there too.
You could also try 'Wipe Cache Partition'
If all else fails then you could always 'Back Up' and perform a 'Factory Reset' in the meantime to see if that helps.
