I would like to see Samsung making some devices with optical zoom too. Seriously, we are in 2017, if we are going back one decade we will meet with the Nokia N93 and some others which had optical zoom! Yes, I know those where bulky, but 10 years have passed since then! If we go back 3 years, we will see the 10 x optical zoom S4 Zoom. That was bulky, but we we got 10 x optical zoom. They should make a much thinner phone with 4 x optical zoom. I am sure this is possible.
12mp 2160p 60fps. This is what i'm talking about. MP doesn't need to increase for more features.
Well done Samsung but i'm still to broke to buy this phone.
Anonymous, 25 Mar 2017Oppo f3 plus has 4000 mah. F3 may contain 40000 mAh. From any angle F3 can not be compare with S8.
Abs, 23 Mar 2017A big phone and a small battery?? Samsung.. pls grow up..Actually, s8 is not a big phone it is a phone in 5 inch body phone with a 5.8 inch screen real estate....
Anonymous, 25 Mar 2017Oppo f3 plus has 4000 mah. And it uses Snapdragon 653.. That's like using ~1500mAh with Snapdragon 835.
Anonymous, 25 Mar 2017Oppo f3 plus has 4000 mah. R u using all of this phone.. Your cmn't is everywhere
AnonD-645095, 23 Mar 2017how about i say ..go make your own smartphone :) no need. Ulefone be touch 2 is good example
I think I'm a little disappointed because:
-Snapdragon 835 not capable of shooting 4k videos @60fps, it's been long overdue hope I'm wrong.
-Battery at 3,000- at least, it should be 3300 for S8- even with the more efficient Snapdragon 835
-Camera sensor being exactly the same as in S7- In my opinion, they should lower the aperture to 1.4 with a slightly bigger sensor such as 2/3 instead 1/2.5" sensor size, 1.4 µm pixel size.
-12mega pixels should be upped to 16 at least so we don't see those two black bars on top and the bottom when we take pictures.
-Reasonable price starting $799.
Everything else looks great, I also hope the screen won't shatter easily!
I waited the last six years for a phone with an almost bezel-less screen, (small body with a big screen). In my opinion this is going to be THE performance benchmark. I hope it will get the new Bluetooth V5 that quadruples range, speed and broadcasting capabilities. I think Samsung have future-proofed this device A LOT:
-Smaller processor with more firepower and MUCH better battery efficiency.
-Very high resolution screen (I'm glad it isn't a 4K screen, HUGE battery drain)
-Cool and very modern design (sure I'd have liked the fingerprint scanner to be on the side)
The camera is rumored to shoot at 1000fps at 720p. It is going to have USB-C 3.1, it is Waterproof, has Quick Charge 4.0 (100% in 30min). All in all it's going to be a game-changer.
Wolf, 24 Mar 2017Phone nowdays, everything is rectangle.
How about square it up?So, you really don't care about putting it in a pocket!
-_-, 24 Mar 2017you must be high, RAM expandible? is your brain blowing up already or what?lmao
A lot of smartphones have 6GB RAM, a lot of Chinese and even the Galaxy C9 Pro, so what sense it makes that the top flagship of all has only 4GB RAM
