I didn't get the note 7 because of the curved display, hopefully the S8 is not a curved display or comes in both curved and flat. Just keep activating items on the side of the display for a curved display.
CaishaBear, 21 Aug 2016If you mean 'FM Radio' then that can be downloaded seperately from the Google Play Storebut how would it catch the signal without hardware feature
Why would the s8 don't have it.... I don't like no other phone....
I just love the Samsung...
I've been using Samsung mobile devices for a long long time and i passed getting the S7 for lack of iR blaster. I'm prepared to wait for S8 but if S8 don't have a IR port I will have to leave my beloved brand samsung and go to a brand that do have a IR port in one of their new devices. No IR port in S8 no Samsung for me. Come on Samsung you can do it, bring IR port back to S8 please.
Couldn't buy S7 due to the lack of IR Blaster. If S8 won't support it, I'll have to choose a brand which supports it. I like Samsung devices, but I like the ability more, can't go back.
For people who don't know what we are talking about and slamming IR as a 'transfer protocol' using words like 'laggy'; we use it as a remote control. Like programming a screen for your living room and controlling all devices including your TV box and the air conditioner with a device which is already at your hand most of the times.
loki, 22 Aug 2016I want ir blaster back in s8 and Samsung doing great job thanks Samsung I too

Dipu bhai, 10 Aug 2016Hey Samsung
Why didn't you change design?
How somebody differentiate S8 & S7 just in one... moreThis image is yet a placeholder, this is not the final design ( I doubt it is even close to the S8)
This IS the S7. No image has yet been leaked
Why didn't you change design?
How somebody differentiate S8 & S7 just in one looks??
So this time plz change design and write S8 at the back side of mob. They feel really prestigious showing their mob. to their friends..
4K screen for ultimate VR.
5000mAh for ultimate Pokemon hunt.
Almost 8GB of ram, because if samsung launch in 6 month the first 6GB phone, the other brand will already have 8GB phones in starting blocks.
And pleaaaase, a brand new design.

Anonymous, 05 Aug 2016with all of the information you've provided you've forgotten to take one thing into considerat... moreAhem. It seems that you do not understand my point of view. I said that it would be useless for usage EXCEPT for VR, but yet having a 4K phone for someone who won't even use VR, well it is just a waste of money, so this is why there should be variants like Sony did. That phone could cost you about 1300$+ and yet, paying an extra 200$ for the screen PLUS paying the content PLUS paying the Gear VR (or any aftermarket VR headset)...
Really what I could except is to have a S7-like phone but with an upgraded SoC and maybe 5 GB or RAM. Yet no apps got to use 3 GB of RAM by itself (except for VR) so 6 GB could be a waste of money. But really if you want VR, you could go for this phone, but I would wait up until great content is released, or that technology advances at a point that hardware costs falls, like it did years ago.
