Hi everyone. Which would you recommend, the S8 or the A8? They seem to be quite similar.

Galaxy S8 Android Oreo Update
Updated my S8 to oreo yesterday. Build no. G9xxxxxxcrb7 size 1350MB .
So finally it's a great update with good new features, device is running equally smooth. Tested everything no issue at all. Same battery life.
So if you are looking forward to update your phone,go ahead .its a really nice update and brings the amazing oreo and Samsung experience 9.0 features.
Just don't forget to run the device maintenance after updating and restarting .
The keyboard might not open right after the update .
I had to open safe mode and set up keyboard to make it work for unlocking. It might be due to the keyboard update in oreo. But it works fine after the safe mode set up. So make sure you know how to start safe mode before updating. ( holding power off option on display)

After Oreo updation, lam facing some issues.
1. Draining battery fast.
2. Signal problem. getting LTE signal in 2nd sim but getting 2G/3G signals in first sim is becoming difficult
3. Heating problem
Before the updation it was working fine
Please what are the major differences between nougat and Oreo updates for Samsung galaxy s8?
Samsung s8 just awsome.its really a good phone compare with any flagship devices.

Brand new phon... moreI had even worse experience with Apple, they resolved the issue only when I was about to sue them. I think Samsung is very good for customer service, much better than Apple. Maybe you messed up otherwise getting a replacement isn't that difficult from Samsung.. They are much better than liars from Apple

If you are indeed outside the time period in which you can demand a refund or replacement under Consumer Law in your country, then what other smartphone manufacturer could you guarantee would give you a brand new replacement instead of just offering you a repair?

I don't know how 'brand new' your phone is but its worth also checking consumer law in the country where you live, if you have not already done so, just in case someone is fobbing you off. You may find that you have the right to demand a replacement or even a full refund but only if you act within a certain period of time after purchase (e.g UK 30 days under the Consumer Rights Act)
Some retailers will even go above and beyond beyond their requirements too E.g John Lewis UK (35 days) So worth checking out.
Usually have been loyal to Samsung but they really screwed me over with the S8. Brand new phone with major audio issues. Constant disturbance on calls .As Samsung decided to shirk responsibility and said we will not replace but only repair. We took it to an authorised samsung service centre. They messed it up even more. Took it another time. While there still seems to be a sound problem the clarity is much better. But now there is a problem with the headphones. Left side is not working, whereas if I plug it into my laptop both sides are working. I have to again take it to the service centre. This is a brand new phone ! Yet Samsung refuses to replace the device. No more Samsung for me after this nightmare. They just dont care. - A disgruntled customer :-(

Harry, 26 Feb 2018Can u tell me please whts the battery backup of s8??if you turn of AOD, disable sinc, use wifi only it saves much more battery than using mobile data. i got 7hrs 24min 37sec screen on time once.
or normally 4-5hrs of screen on time. if u r a heavy gamer you will probably get 3 to 3.30hrs screen on time.
