please some plasti... more"Plastic back phones having coating that feels like glass"? LOL man, LOL. Why don't you enlighten us with a few names, so we'll know which phones you are talking about. We might get some knowledge and become educated like you.
But then again, it wasn't what you said earlier. You said that S8's glass feels like plastic. Why don't you teach us fools how is it so? Maybe we'll learn something new and start seeing the world in a different angle.
Just mega pixel isn't everything about a camera. First learn about a camera, then come to argue. The sensor plays a major role (we count the mega pixel for the sensor), but the aperture (f-stop), the low light capacity (dual pixels captures more light than single pixel sensors) and the lens quality also matters to get a better picture. That is why DDLRs have separate lenses, to let you get better result from the same camera body. So, when you buy a $200 phone with higher camera resolution, be sure that those phones go nowhere near (at least in the camera section) with a $500+ phone with lower camera resolution. Bring your examples (redmi note4, lenovo makes many models, which one are you talking about?) to compare with phones like Google Pixel, LG G6, Samsung Galaxy S8, Apple iPhone 7+, HTC U11 (any one or all of these, your choice) etc and take pictures and compare them side by side in a computer. You'll see the differences in the noise level, sharpness and clarity of the pictures. And that is where it matters. Any phone can take pictures, it's a good picture that real people want.
Now don't start comparing these phones with DSLRs, they're not as good as them ($800 for just the camera body vs $800 for a phone with camera and lens and everything else). But now a days, any flagship (from any reputed manufacturers) device's camera can defeat any stand alone camera.
Can you count? Sorry, sure you can. Do you know how pixels are calculated? I guess not. Sure, 1440 is merely 33% larger (not 10%. That is why I asked whether you can count or not) than 1080. But that is NOT how they are calculated. 1920*1080=2073600p and 2560*1440=3686400p, which is almost 78% bigger than FHD or 1080. And fyi, who watches video all the time in a phone? Is watching video the only reason people buy a phone? What about the Internet browsing, social networking and playing games, which btw, supports 1440 with ease. And there are more apps with 1440p resolution (2K) than 1080p resolution (1K). Smart phones are not used for watching movies, but for using different apps and games actually.
One more thing. In another comment you said, "to further remind nowadays all phone is waterprooff....heat cannot escape.... even bacteria also cannot go out....." - SERIOUSLY? Where did you go to school? I mean, did you ever study Physics 101? For sound to pass, you need the air to pass through as sound travel through air. If phones are sealed off to keep bacteria inside (as per your comment), then the sound will also not pass through. There are tiny vents for speakers in water resistant phones, through which the air can pass, but not the water. That is, btw, enough for heat (and bacteria, if you consider) to pass through. Last time I checked, bacteria didn't grow much bigger than they were last thousand years, ROFL.
And yes, one of the duty of the back cover is to pass the heat through. This is why Apple uses Aluminium as the back cover rather than glass as it transfer heat better (better heat conductor). So, heat don't get trapped inside. If it would, it would definitely burn the internal parts of the phone.
Anyway, if you're happy with a $200 phone, that's fine with me. But don't come to argue that a $200 phone can compete with a $500+ phone. People are NOT stupid to spend their money without any reason. Yes, if Xiaomi would make a similar phone like S8, they would cost $400 rather than $800. But you should have heard about the brand value, didn't you? It matters.
So please, my advice to you is to Google (means, search) things BEFORE you place your arguements and then talk about the facts, not some things that you've dreamt in your mind. It really puts you as a stupid guy in front of us - we don't wanna see you being stupid, we want everyone to be smart.
Everyone take care. Ciao...

Biometrics are flaky - it's quicker just to use the old pin method
No Voice Command - WTF Samsung??
Have a serious think before buying the S8
Anonymous, 26 May 2017Samsung should also work in compact mini phones with high end specs and good design to o I sure agree! compact sizes with same features than those bulky ones are better and handy
Samsung should really try creating a high end compact phones. Bulky or big sizes phone is nice but compact sizes with same features are way better and handy!

Suhanoo, 27 May 2017Lol. S8 is ugly! Says someone who uses a phone that can't transfer a simple file to another de... moreTrue S8 is the best looking phone with all the latest and greatest tech, design wise it's a next generation phone and fits a 5.8inch display in a 5 incher like body at just 150g, look at iPhone plus which gives 5.5 inch display in a huge 190g body. This isn't a small thing as it's how computers evolved by fitting large in small. Even small things are lot smarter in S8, screenshot? Now it's not just screenshot, one can scroll down to take the screenshot of any length of page, crop it right away, pin it on top and even take a animated gif screenshot. These things are very useful in extracting required information. Then there are things Apple is still dreaming about, fast wireless charging, ability to use two app accounts in one phone, the best vr experience (it'll support daydream too). S8 is a complete smartphone with fully loaded hardware and software.

Hacking your digital signature (biometric or not) is not impossible. You'll see in the video that how tough it is to hack your iris signature and why the iris scanner is still the best to use among all the other security signatures.

However, one can easily remove traces of fingerprint, swipe/patter or codes by simply wiping the fingerprint scanner/screen after. It could be as simple as wiping it on your clothing. No special cloth or cleaning solution needed.
Bro, even the fingerprint scanner can be hacked and it has been done since long now. No biometric solutions are perfect. And the detail and time you need to create the false biometric entry, it is awfully time consuming. You have to draw the iris or take a picture of it with good details and resolution, afterwards print it in the perfect size and then put a pair of contact lenses in the perfect spot. Do you really think that's worth the time?
The similar way, fingerprint scanner contains your finger's print in the form of oil, which can be retracted from the scanner with simple duct tape and with pencil led and a white paper you can make it visible and gain access through the fingerprint scanner.
Swipe unlock/pattern unlock can be viewed if you hold the device at an angle toward the light as the screen contains the oil from your face and leaves the trace of your pattern.
The password, knock code (used by LG) & pin codes are the only things you can use without worrying too much. Even they leave the marks of your finger's touch, so there is always permutation and combination for that and they are not secure as well if you think that way.
So the ideal way to stay secure is not to use a touch phone at all or to keep your secured data in a secured place instead in your phone.

- if u are comparing with iphone 7 720p d... moreLol. S8 is ugly! Says someone who uses a phone that can't transfer a simple file to another device over Bluetooth, over WiFi, can't use NFC anywhere else other than iPay. Okay, even if we assume that the first two will endanger your valuable data, what about the third one? That actually is painful, watching others just tap and change there device's modes and connect with other devices. I can feel your pain, dude. When the whole world is moving ahead with tech, you are using a 720p screen in the name of best screen, Bluetooth in the name of security, NFC the same, and the design is the same, the same. If you say S8 feels like plastic, I'd suggest you immediately check with a skin doctor, you have serious problem in your hand's skin. This is one point no other phone is able to compete S8. Looks-wise it is the best looking device of 2017, if you don't think so, I suggest you take an appointment with an eye specialist as well.
Your other points are arguable and differs from person to person. No one likes a Camera which provides natural colour. I love photography and this is my personal experience that people loves over-saturated pictures. Yes, you can manually do that, but what's the problem if Samsung saves you a few clicks? I already said this topic will vary to people's choice. So don't waste your time by arguing.
People uses iPhone for prestige. But, hey, when anyone and everyone have something, it doesn't stay prestigious anymore. Think about it. You've been cheated since the very beginning. And that is why you are so mad at everyone. We understand, but we can only feel sorry, then move along with or lives.
Take care. Stay happy. Ciao...
lol , 26 May 2017the red tint issue it's already corrected and you can use the Iris scanner, duuh... The iris scanner has been hacked recently.
lol , 26 May 2017the red tint issue it's already corrected and you can use the Iris scanner, duuh... The red tint issue is not real. Hah. S8 has a feature of increasing or decreasing RGB level on its screen. The youtubers or other people who showed the red tint just increased the red saturation level.
