One of our reader shared a couple of video clips recorded from the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S Advance. As you may know, the phone has a 5 megapixel camera and can record 720p videos.
Usually the quality of the video recording in mid-range smartphones only looks good on paper but is far from impressive in the real world, which is why we were pleasantly surprised when we saw the videos below.
As you can see, the videos are surprisingly smooth and detailed. There are also very little compression artifacts and the sensor also exhibits good dynamic range, with clearly defined bright and dark areas. The audio too, despite its monophonic nature, was pleasantly clear.
As usual though, we will reserve our final judgement till we do a full review but it must be said that our expectations have definitely been raised.
