The build was awesome and the in hand feel too! It never lagged for me. I used to play GTA Chinatown wars on this . Good old days. Battery was weak since it's only 1500mah but it was removable. Had to swap the battery once before I upgraded to a new phone.
And the camera was awesome for the class. Back then even the iphone 5s which was the then flagship phone to beat had a shitty camera.

Very slow, laggy, battery lasts for only 3-4 hours of use. Even back in 2014 it was one of the worst value for money phones. Shame on Samsung for making such a shit phone.

I have also the J5 2016 but this one is much better - so easy to use. The only drawback is weak cpu and low memory.
Like laptops i prefer those of 2012 .

I still have this phone but I have to admit it is very much useless in 2020
Hardware is still flawless ( except battery) but many apps are not supported by that vintage 4.2 Android. Camera is still great although it has only 5Mpx
It would be still useful and good-enough smartphone only if it could update to Android 5 ( at least) which is present minimum to support many of the apps.
And forget about custom roms - they simply do not work properly. I've tried it already

Iam using this phone now also and it is working very well and it with me since 2014 this phone is too bld but it is working very good as compared to other old devices like lenovo, micromax,etc.
