AnonD-203151, 06 Dec 2013I'm asking this because I'm cool with ICS and single core processor if it gives better battery.Both have nearly same battery backup. Only thing is that Jelly bean is more optimised than ICS. Also, since Galaxy core has bigger screen, it needs more power.

Regarding battery, I am trying to compare S Duos and S Duos 2. Both have battery capacity of 1500. (Core has 1800). Now, compare to S Duos, SDuos 2 has one extra processor core (dual core) and is running Jelly Bean.. Don't you think that will be battery intensive.. and S Duos (1) will give better battery backup ?

As far as Internal memory is concerned, S Duos 2 although has 4 GB may be 1.8 User available memory... it also supports transferring apps to sdcard... this is what I have read in a review... I am not sure if S Duos allows to do that... but core doesn't allow.

Hi
I have been using a very basic android phone ( galaxy y) need a phone with good camera and play HD 720p video at least and decent internal memory..I don't play games and internet use is very moderate..my budget is around 13000 Indian rupees..found galaxy ace 3 but its not yet available here..can I go in for this galaxy S duos 2 or should I wait for galaxy ace 3?..please do answer if possible..

Nothing special about the phone it is almost same as S Duos, should have changed the display atleast from 4 inches to 4.5 inches and the RAM atleast to 1GB and price should not exceed more than 9K

I will give u one example:- If u see Xperia M vs Galaxy core videos u will understand. Xperia M can play 720p videos and Galaxy core cannot play 720p but screen clarity, internal memory, screen size , battery matters. After december u will find galaxy core price same as s duos @11k. And S duos price will be less than 10k in january.

Also how long does the battery last with continuous 2G internet ... and how long does it last with only calls. In case you have 3G, how long does it last ?

Well my final comment is that its the best branded phone for the price in india. I am not talking about desi companies. Also, most people here are commenting without actually using the phone. Give it a try and you will be surprised to see the difference between the performance of S Duos and S Duos 2. Only problem is its design but now-a-days all the samsung phones look alike. Samsung will change its design with S5.

AnonD-203151, 05 Dec 2013How good is the good enough ? While playing videos ? or while having 2G continuously ON. Thankswell, i used internet(2g) for 2.5 hours, made call for 2 hours and watched 30 minutes video and after 22 hours 40% battery was remaining.
