One of my friends just bought this phone two days ago. I give him my Nokia N95 for a day and he gave me this phone for a day in exchange. Here's my review: Build quality is nice but the phone feels cheap plasticky in hands. Display quality is good but nothing special compared to IPS LCD screens.
Touch response is good but not as smooth as i have experienced in my Canvas HD. Sound quality is clear through speakers and headphones but it is not loud. There's
768 MB of RAM out of which around 300-400 MB is available. I installed Riptide GP, Trial Xtreme 3 on this phone but Riptide GP didn't run. Trial Xtreme 3 did run however it was very laggy to play. This phone is not for gamers! Network reception is very good as you'd expect from a Samsung phone. Camera captures good pictures in daylight
but don't expect it to deliver awesome results in low light. The LED light just doesn't help and pictures come out blurred most of the times. I used 3G Internet for like 2 hours and 30 minutes and the battery completely dropped from 100% to just 15%. On 2G, you can expect it to last around 5-6 hours if you're continously using Internet. On 3G, i felt the back to be a little bit warm. Call quality is good and loud. Sometimes i felt the performance of the phone to be laggy, especially when playing HD games and running big applications. It easily recognized my 64 GB SanDisk card. Overall, a good phone except few things like battery backup which is poor, camera quality isn't very good, not for heavy gamers and laggy performance sometimes. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone because of its poor design, not so outstanding battery backup, bad picture quality from the camera, and laggy performance. Not a value for money phone.

I got the phone today itself. Other than the design, i am satisfied with the handset.
The changes from previous version not much but plays a major part in performance as previous version has many drawbacks in performance :
1. Processor dual core 1.2 ghz cortex A9
2. Video recording 720p
3. Os Android v4.2 jellybean
4. Videocore IV GPU
5. Sdcard Upto 64Gb
and some little more
6. Ram must have been updated to 1gb but you dont need it since its dual core and you may not worry like before. 768mb is more than sufficient for moderate use with apps and games.
100% you wont have lag and worries compared to its previous version based on updated configurations.

Wait till january after moto g come Galaxy core price will decrease. Galaxy core better option @11k in January.

seems quite good, but the RAM is not big enough to run jelly bean. small internal storage, small battery capacity, low screen density. i think this droid is not so bad for its price range

. Due to similar design and bad performance i really hate samsung now. Won't buy sami ever never forever and suggest other not to buy it even if you are drunk.. I prefer there are other better , smooth and android update facility than samsung.. Whatever i kick samsung brand from my life. Feeling freed with hangers, laggy cell. :)

since I have used the old s duos (which was terrible) and 4.2 on s4(which was laggy as hell) I expect the phone to be a total disaster
since according to me user experience is everything and hence i would recommend a lumia 525/520 Or a moto g if you can get it on ebay/flipkart
I repeat, everyone who will buy this lag machine shall cry!

Why the hell Sammy can't change its crap design! Same round cheap plastic in various screen sizes! With outdated hardware! Look at the Japanese-Sony! 2013 launches- Xperia L-arc design! Xperia ZL-slim compact 5inches! Xperia Z-waterproof glass design! Sammy, common! Think something else other than these plasticy crap!

Internal memory is written 4GB but only 1.80 GB user available? This is a big cheating to customers. Also, the design is very outdated and cheap. Only around 768 MB RAM is the worst as Samsung TouchWiz UI eats about half of the RAM and forget about future updates. Definitely not a value for money phone. Also, 1500 mAh battery is just too low. On average, if you're continously using Internet on 2G, it will barely last 5 hours and in 3G, only about 3 hours.

Battery is good without using internet but main problems are RAM is very less and till now it is 4.0 ice cream sandwhich only which is very low version

How long does battery last if:
a) without using internet... If used only for phone calls, no games?
b) try to play a video through headphones and track the consumption of battery.. how long does battery last for videos
c) With 2G internet always ON, how long does battery last
d) With 3G internet always ON, how long does battery last.
