Good Initiative from Samsung but Major Drawbacks are:
RAM should be 1GB for ICS
Camera should be like Galaxy SII
It should be Gorilla Glass display
TV output
Waiting for another phone with all these features asap..

Samsung has taken out a competitor to HTC Desire V. If it costs nearly INR 15K this will be a best buy. Gsmarena must review this one. Only one problem is 1500mah battery its less for a dual sim. HTC has slight higher rating. Of course it depends on the handset performance but I guess talktime will be maximum 6 hours.

Bilal, 25 Jul 2012cortex a5 was released in October 2009. how you are so much sure that it is better than Cortex... moreyes cortex a5 was released in 2009. The chipset by qualcomm was msm7227 which was used in galaxy ace with adreno 200. it was based on arm v6. In november 2011 qualcomm has updated that chipset to msm7227A . It is based on armv7 but the gpu they have paired with is old adreno 200.
Think of new a5 as cortex 8.5 which is better than cortex a8 but inferior than cortex a9.
And qualcomm has released msm8225 now in place of msm7225A.
Which is dual core 1 ghz cortex a5 with adreno 203 gpu. 203 is not that great also but twice as fast as 200 and is capable of 720p videos.
That is the reason why every oem is going for this chip it is ultra cheap and capable of handling ics.
This year a 3.5 inch phone with msm7227A costs about 11-12.5k. Example - xperia miro
after 6 -8 months at 11-12.5 k you will dualcore cortex a5 1 ghz.

this shows Samsung have bad after sales service.
lousier specs compare to galaxy s, but this can have ICS!
