Usually when you put in a GSM sim, it automatically switches to GSM. But sometimes, it auto switches back to Global when you reinsert the CDMA sim. We recently experienced no data service on CDMA until we found this switch.

We have the Verizon version of this phone and it will work on both CDMA and GSM. Eventhough purchased from Verizon and assumed locked to their CDMA network, it worked on GSM as though unlocked. We recently traveled to an Asian country that has only GSM and sells sims cards at 7-11 stores. All we had to do was pop in a sims card and we had voice, text and data on the local GSM network. The switch was automatic, but there is a option in the phone if you search to switch it manually.

I have Samsung S3 Verizon GSM+CDMA , it was working OK for TATA CDMA Voice and data. After upgrade Data is not working any solution pls?

i am unable to use a cdma sim card in my samsung s3 sgh i535 4g lte phone... it was working well with a gsm sim card but as i inserted a cdma sim card the netwrk is very very unstable. sometimes it is full, the next second it is null. someone please help me.. cant i use cdma sim card in my phone?? is it a gsm phone only or what?? someone please suggest me .. i am waiting
