MeMe, 03 Feb 2013I have this device and i unlocked it from a website then i left AT&T and go to T-mobile ... moreYou can do it via Samsung Kies. I have Straight Talk although it's an AT&T phone and had no issues updating. You should be good to go.

But I did it the first day I got it, I don't know if you can have problems with apps you have installed, but with the stock ones it worked just fine.

I did a reset and now i have no APN... moreSimple thing...
1.Root your phone
2.Get APN Backup and Restore from the Googla Play.
3.Convert the APN app to the system application using Rom toolbox or any other of such type programs.
4. Go into the APN app settings and disable the ICS check.
Now you can delete or any locked APNS and than add your own...

And i can't edit the apn in ICS 4.0.4 OR JB.

I finally switched from an iPhone after being an Apple guy ever since the first iPhone came out. I'm so mad I didn't switch earlier. This phone is 10 times better than the iPhone. It takes a little getting used to, but all the customization is incredible. Anyone thinking about switching, just do it. You'll be happy. Bonus! No more being limited by iTunes!!!

Anonymous, 05 Dec 2012Jelly Bean 4.1 is nice!! Your only upgrade option is with Kies and your PCYou can always flash the Firmware via Odin or Heimdal
The benefit is that you can try firmwares from other regions or be the first one to be updated.
