The opinions about this phone not being that much better than the s2 are insane. The s2's display is ridden with vertical "ghost" lines on darker colors. Not to mention there is a large noticable difference in device performance. Started a new contract with AT&T and purchased the s2. Went back a week later and got the s3. It is the best phone on the market hands down.

Upgraded when my Galaxy S2 i9100 broke. Nice to have LTE data and a larger screen. The screen colours aren't quite as good as on the S2 but the fonts are smoother when browsing the web due to the higher pixel density, and you can see more on screen due to the higher resolution. The shape and smooth plastic makes it a bit slippery to hold - it's easier once you add a case. Performance is about the same as the S2 - the international version with the quad core processor would be significantly faster and it's disappointing that the North American version is behind in this regard. Battery life seems about the same as the S2 - not really long enough, and I have to charge once or twice a day. Overall a good phone with some neat features but not worth it as an upgrade over the S2 unless yours breaks like mine did.
