Anonymous, 07 Sep 2012The tab 2 is not protected with a gorilla glass..low resolution display no usb charging camera... moreTab 2 comes with an android 4.0 (I.C.S) not upgradable . Dual core processor with 1.2GHZ it support all android games and apps that can be downloaded from android market . It has motion sensers . And a lot function that v can just hope for this rate .

If you are not that much into camera or 3D stuff, i would suggest Tab 2. but from some the 5 MP camera holds more importance.
Additionally, being a 4.3 inch screen, carrying the optimus would be a lot easier than Tab 2. (not saying that you cannot carry the Tab 2 easily)
If you are looking for a big screen experience and want something for the media content, you can always choose Tab 2.
However, the TV out capabilities of the Tab 2 wont be available for now as the TV out cable is still not being released by Samsung, but there is word it will soon be.

why it is low rated?? low priced?? (weird question i know).. ... moreWell, for starters, it is not top of the line product Samsung has launched. These days tablets are coming with Quad core processors with at least 1.3Gz processor, where Tab 2 is just 1Gz Dual Core. The Ram in the top of the line products is atleast 1.5 GB whereas Tab 2 just have 1 GB.
Samsung since a long time have wanted to enter the Tablet market and this looks like a successful attempt of providing a low cost tablet for the masses.
Yes there are limitations like non-removable battery, no USB charging, 3MP and VGA cameras but they were put there with only one objective, to keep the prices down.
Its low rated because of all this, it aint a top of the line products, but it provides enough Processing power, so that the tablet runs smooth even when you throw a graphic intensive game at it.
If you look at the tablet at the price at which it is selling, i wouldn't say there drawbacks because its the best at the price available.
Have been using Tab 2 since more than 2 months, and its working really great for me but thats just my opinion.
