Since you're only in edge connection, bluetooth 3.0 of both phones would handle the internet speed properly with no lag. My bluevpn is kinda slow even in hspa since my feature phone support only btooth 2.0.
For longer usage of this connection, I'm pretty sure it would not harm your tablet - although it is advised for not using a phone as modem frequently (the nokia in this case) as its cpu will keep running at its highest clock speed.
Certain apps maybe not working by this connection, such as speed test app or fanpic that need to check the device network status, eventhough you can browse the net. Yeah something like that, hehehe, pls don't ask me further about this, I also don't understand why it doesn't work in every cases. Well, from my own experience, beside internet browsing it also work with play store and gmail app...

It is onl... moregris,i just noticed one more thing...that if i enable or keep them disbaled i.e enable logger+log to file...it still works...so was wondering what exactly is this option used for...if its too technical and bother u to explain,its ok...am happy that finally its working for me...also plz tell me if i use my net connection from my nokia phone to my tab this way regularly for long hours,can it cause any damage to any of my both devices in anyway?i hope its totally safe?
i really wish i had not renewed my data plan on tab recently..but from nowonwards,i will be using only one data pack for my both the devices IF its safe...thanks once again :)

While bluetooth tethering option is used if you want to use tab2 as modem for other devices. This is I think where BlueDUN is required, if android bluetooth doesn't provide dial-up network profile.
The required number I think is *99# - number for dial-up connection which is usually set by default when using flash modem to pc/ laptop

Yippie...finally with ur great help Gris,i cud blueVPB showed up blueVPN is connected with nokiaE6 and in notifications i see two things with gprs and key symbols blueVPN connected with NokiaE6 and VPN is activated by blueVPN...i put the phone number is *99# and like i mentioned in my previous post as i cud not see the internet access option next nokiae6 gear,i enabled it from bluetooth tethering and applying other paramters in blueVPN settings,finally the connection is being made...its working..hurray...all thanks to u Gris for being so patient with my queries and helping me out step by step..THANKS A LOT :)

It is onl... moreGris i successfully paired and then unpaired both the devices renaming my nokia name as per ur instructions..however got stuck in point 4 bcoz i cud not find the option internet access something that u mentioned shud appear when clicked on the gear icon next to nokiae6...it shows up two options as rename and unpair..however in settings-tethering and portable hotspots-there is an option as bluetooth tethering which can be enabled and disabled i.e not sharing this devices internet connection and if enabled,it shows sharing this devices internet connection.
In bluevpn...how exactly should the phone number be inserted like u mentioned simply the 10 digit mobile number or inside the symbols *99#..
I read many reviws in blueDUN app and for many its working perfectly...i cud not get any tip from there though.

AnonD-14017, 21 May 2013Gris i followed ur steps and changed my nokia phone name as well...but i am not sure how to pa... moreMmm.. after reading developer's blog, I understand now that blueDUN is not required. It is only needed for the reverse action - if you want to use your tablet as host to other devices. So you won't need it to build connection on both phones. (will try later if I can connect my Wi-Fi laptop to access tab2 internet through bluetooth channel, that is the purpose of blueDUN).
Pairing/unpairing can be done from bluetooh setings in android settings menu. Open settings and turn on bluetooth. If you see your nokia name listed as paired devices, then tap the gear icon next to it then tap unpair (nokia name should be removed if it has unpaired). --Then from settings menu go to applications manager - downloaded, choose bluevpn and tap clear data. ...Next is to recreate pairing between both devices. If done, then like the step above tap gear icon next to Nokia name and enable (tick) internet access.
Now with both devices' bluetooth turned on open bluevpn to connect.
This maybe you also need to do with BlueVPN, open its settings and set the following:
1. under GPRS Options,
- fill the phone number with *99#
- fill or set Access Point name, authentication, user name, password, primary and secondary DNS according to your Nokia's internet settings.
2. under Debug options tick enable logger and log to file then tap logger level and choose error.
P.S. Read also users comments in bluedunapp blogspot, many useful tips in there.

am new to ths tab section. curently am using galaxy grand,and i just want a tablet. am opting for galaxy tab p 1300. may i knw ur opinion.
screen,interface,network,wifi conections,camera calarity,the battery life and does it hang. please i need ur help plz. . . .

Ok, regarding the device name, you need to change it from the phone itself. Pls check on your e6 in bluetooth settings (or somewhere else in settings menu) whether it has an option to change device name, because I've read the online manual but didn't find this option.
My prev post seems a bit confusing, sorry about that.
1. Install BlueDUN app (see my previous post). -- I really have no idea what the use of this app since my bluevpn already working without it, but in case it is needed in jelly bean....
2. Is the tab already paired with e6 (turn on tab2 bluetooth to see all paired device on android settings). If yes then tap gear icon next to nokia name then choose unpair.
3. On nokia e6, edit the device name (I hope it has this option) - with no space.
4. Create again pairing between both devices, after they're successfully paired then on android Bluetooth settings tap gear icon next to e6 name then tick mark use for internet settings option.
5. Then open BlueVpn to see whether the connection works. Once it connect, you'll see nokia gprs will automatically active.

gris,i am not able to change the name of phone on bluevpn,not from the app and not even from settings although there is no space in between it shows Nokia_E6...i did not understand exactly what all u explained...i really wish u were on JB too :)
