There are 2 types of Galaxy Tab 3's - wi-fi only and 3g with wifi; if you want to have only 1 gadget to make calls and text messages then get the latter one (3g with wifi) but if you already have a phone and is just looking for a nice tablet then get the wi-fi only.
This is a great tablet to begin with; the display is nice and can play download HD movies without even converting it; the tablet functions as a phone and for VOIP applications such as skype; yahoo and/or google+; you'll need a bluetooth or wired headset if you don't want to feel silly having a 7" gadget on your face while taking in calls; overall great product from Samsung; highly recommended

Tab is good. But the case is it's too expensive.I'm searching for a cheap one.
flora, 17 Dec 2013Hey recently I bought tab 3 but there no option left to insert a SIM.can u please tell me how ... moreI had the same problem. I had no idea there 2kinds of galaxy tablet. One from your phone provider and one from best buy or wherever u bought it. Only the one from your phone provider has the tablet where u can u insert the sim card. The tablet u have the only way to get internet is through ur home internet or u could purchase a wifi hotspot device. My provider is tmobile so I purchase a tmobile wifi hotspot device and u can connect ur tablet and/or laptop. The great thing about tmobile is even though the hotspot device is $140 u can make payments of $5 monthly plus u pay for data. Mines is 4gb data for $30 monthly so its actually cheaper then getting home internet service where there always hidden fees. Its added to ur cell phone bill
Waste of money, I hate it. Slow, glitchy, unresponsive, won't even charge anymore. I don't want to pay a cent more towards the garbage. Do not buy this, you'll regret it.
Anonymous, 17 Dec 2013Laggy tab, dont buy it. Trust me. Not worth your moneyTotally agree!!
