I bought this tablet about two years ago. I might say this is a great unit. The 8" screen is perfect to be used with two hands. With a keyboard case it is a little "laptop" like computer. The wifi antenna works fine, the GPS finds the signal fast and accurate.
With the SIM slot You can insert your micro sim card and make phone calls with perfect sound quality or connect to the LTE network. The 189ppi screen does not look messy, perfect selection for playing games (even Need For Speed or Asphalt 8 or Dead Space) or for general usage.
If You do not want by a good, handy unit for daily use this is the one.

Newbie, 19 Jul 2017Can this tab 8.0 LTE OS kitkat upgraded to higher version of OS?The highest version available to download is Android 5.0 Lollipop. However, if you root the device you can install any version, but newer ones (like Android 7.0 Nougat) might not work smoothly.

Sum1 said the US version doesn't make calls. My device info technically says Samsung-sm-t337a, but it's 4G/LTE through AT&T. I don't personally pay for the service, but TextFree over Wi-Fi makes calls perfectly every time. Otherwise, I just use my phones Hotspot. YouTube streams Ike a charm.
I can have a dozen apps running in the background, and it BARELY lags (split second sumtimes, if that).
Use it every day. Size is Perfect (for a male). Fits in one hand, & almost all my pockets. Well, without a case.
Only downside is the lack of flash. And that's only been an issue once or twice in the past 6 months- when my buddy sold it to me for 50 bucks- score!
Totally worth the $90 they cost on eBay though. WAY better bang for buck than 400 for a new one.

I love mine! People complain about an right inch phone being too big to hold in a conversation. Get Bluetooth! It's a great phone and a fantastic tablet, if you get the international version. The U.S.version is just a tablet, not a phone. And spend the little extra on the 32BG rather than the 16GB. Once you see how good movies look on this thing you'll want more storage pretty quickly, trust me. Other than a slightly weak camera and it only taking a maximum 64GB micro SD card it's perfect. Get a good protective folio case to protect your investment! Samsung got it right on this one.

exchanged this tab today for asus c 170.but am having problem with making calls.
no sound and sometimes the device find it hard to recognize the network..so i feel maybe i got upgrade software....will wait and see.
