Which was also a lower end tablet. But four SoC generations later and of course the 2020 tablet is going to be much faster and better. There is really no comparison between the two. The 2020 Tab A7 runs circles around the 2016 Tab A.
I currently own three 2020 Tab A7 tablets and two 2020 Galaxy Tab S6 Lite tablets.
I actually like the lower end Tab A7 tablets over the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite tablets. Except for the fact that the Tab A7 tablets can't play back my HEVC content like my Galaxy Tab S6 Lite tablets can.
But as far as the screen, none of them compare to my old Samsung OLED tablets I used to own. But for the price I paid out of pocket, $60 to $80 after trade in and sale price for my Tab A7 tablets, they were well worth it.
