Samsung Android Tablets Announcement

Along with the premium Galaxy Tab S4 10.5 Samsung also unveiled a tablet for Junior – the Galaxy Tab A 10.5. It comes pre-loaded with Kids Mode and eight child-friendly apps and games, including BRIO World Railway and Toca Hair Salon 3.

The tablet can be used by the whole family – thanks to Multi User Mode everyone can have their own account. The Always On Daily Board shows the time, calendar appointments, weather info and photos from the gallery.

One feature that the Tab A shares with the Tab S4 is the quad speaker system, which is enhanced with Dolby Atmos support.

The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 is built around a 10.5” TFT LCD with 1,920 x 1,200px resolution (16:10 aspect ratio). A Snapdragon 450 chipset offers power efficiency if not blazing speed. It has 3GB of RAM to work with along with 32GB storage (plus a microSD slot).

The tablet has an LTE version (Cat. 6) and a Wi-Fi only version. The 7,300mAh battery will keep it going for hours, especially with the 14nm chipset.

In Europe the Wi-Fi only model of the Galaxy Tab A 10.5 will cost €330 while the LTE-enabled tablet will be €390. The tablet will be available in stores on August 24 (same day as the Galaxy Note9).
