Samsung should make a new Tab Active4 with Snapdragon 778G chipset. I'm not a fan of the Tab Active4 Pro's 10.1" display. 8" is perfect for me.

I bought the 577 with android 13 and could not get the unit to make or receive calls. The primary reason for this is that the 577 model does not have a slit opening for earphone speaker. I think they did this to improve the water seal rating. Even using headset didn't seem to bypass this limitation. Such a shame because the 577 can hold 2 sim cards and has the 128GB version. It's essentially like a data only tablet like Apple's mini w/ data cellular. I had to return the 577 and get the 575 model to make and receive phone calls. However, it holds only 1 sim card and is limited to the 4/64GByte version.

If the standard way didn't help my units, I did it the hard way and then it became stable again. Soft reset = in settings. Hard reset = the bootloader. Normally vol+ and power.

I believe this must be the last tablet designed by Samsung themselves

Because sometimes the update can slow down the performance, because it is just an update on top of the old. It's the same thing with windows.
My Tab3 Active was updated to UI4.1.1 last night with more than 1GB of data. Lots of features added specially for quick access to split screens. The battery drain seems to have slowed down even prior to update... maybe the battery memory has 'stabilised' after I used it regularly.

I have a Tab S6 Lite 2020 and there is no battery drain issue. This Tab Active3 definitely has a battery drain issue even if the battery saver is active.
Ever since I discovered SwiftKey keyboard by Microsoft 4 years ago, I never used the Samsung Keyboard in any of my Samsung smartphone or tablet anymore.
My major annoyance with this device, like with any other Android phone/tablet, is the fast battery drain. I guess the root cause of the problem is the kernel bring monolithic rather than microkernel. Another area where Samsung could improve is the keyboard: characters are too small and disable Show Lowercase Keys (different from caps lock) is not an option.

When I started setting it up for the first time, it keep updating until it got A11 with June 2022 security update.
Proven and tested, the LTE version can be used as normal smartphone in calling. However, unless you really have a massive hand, you will struggle to hold it near your ear whilst making a voice call. Your best option is loudspeaker or headphone.

So I assume thiy will will get those update because it was introduced in Sept 2020.
I just bought one (LTE version) brand new in a sealed box at a really bargain price (less than half the original price) in eBay UK and I couldn't be happier.
This device will receive Android 13 (to be released in 2022), Android 14 (to be released in 2023), and 2 additional years worth of security updates, correct?

With this device (SM-T577U/DS: LTE), phone calls cannot be made.
A couple of months ago, the app that links this device with another phone was updated, to be able to make calls through it.
When updating the app, it left me with a notification (which I mistakenly deleted and only half read it), which seemed to say that with the update to Android 12, the device could make phone calls. Does anyone know anything about this?
