Some please share light from experience; Comparing the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and Apple iPad Mini 4 battery ( Li-ion 4,000mAh and Li-ion 5,124mAh) which last longer? Considering these fact in mind {Screen 8.0" vs 7.9", CPU Quad-Core 1.9GHz vs Dual-Core 1.5GHz and an average Network Speed of at least 20Mbps}.

I been usimg this sm 715y its getting lte speed but it wont show lte at the top only showing 4g. After a lONGg TIME speed testing its much faster than expected.

At time being it's the best 8 inch tablet on the market.
... but I'm waiting to see Samsung's 8 inch Note with QHD 10x16 (or 3x4), same performance, bigger battery and improved S-Pen ( more precised :-) - now it goes out of the point about 1-2 mm which is a lot for "retina" display ).
Then I'm going to buy it.

I just bought this tablet 3 days ago..
The design is very similiar to the newest apple tablet...
They use metal frame for this tablet but (unfortunately) the back case is just plastic (not a bad quality plastic though), with 4:3 aspect ratio reading magazing and browsing feel so comfortable..
The screen is... well as expected from samsung super AMOLED i'd say... with QHd resolution, you will find the best display experience for tablet from this Tab S2...
The performance is (again as expected) very smooth and fast...
The Camera (i don't really care about the camera for tablet though) is surprissingly great, try to capture an outdoor photo and the result is very clear...
The speaker is not really amazing, the sound is clear but produce a quite tiny sound (even at 100%)...
And for the battery life (mine is 8.0 inch), it can run about 11 hours for watching "local" 720p video (I connect to wifi not mobile data and i turn off the motion gesture + Power saving is turn on) at 50% brightness...
For now this is probably the best tablet for android u can get...

It.s really a shame since iPad display is not nearly as gorgeous is this tablet is, let alone the standard confusing ios interface and performance that feels slower (yes all new iPhones and ipads feel slower in Web page loading while connected to the same LTE OR THE SAME WIFI

Im in new York (cable vision Internet provider) . Average WiFi download speed is steady around 57-59 Mbps! In new York subway stations (transit wireless provider)
the average speed is 65 Mbps (based on 60 tests) !!!
In comparison my lumina 920 phone gets on average 30 Mbps less on WiFi

Hello every, i would like to be fair in writing this tablet review. I have been switch from ipad mini 3 to samsung tab s8.4. I find tab s 8.4 is incredible with in terms of speed ans display. Upgrading from tab s 8.4 to tab s2 8.0 giving me better benefits: Speeds has been totally increase with new processor Exynos 5433, camera functionality and focus with macro is slightly alot better! This is rival for ipad mini 4(similiar size,finger print,resolution,4:3), samsung always have their strategy to tell consumer they can give something better. Welldone samsung, interms of price and spec(best tablet 8.0 u can get out there). Cheers!!

i am an user of tab s. i think the width of 12.6cm is too wide for one hand long time holding, must feel uncomfortable after 15mins.
this tab s2 is even wider. better place it on desk and use.
can consider a narrower device, 12.3cm, might be perfect. progress for the perfect

After using for 2 weeks i find its processor n wifi reception worst than Asus zenfone 2 4GB model despite it being Cat 6 while Asus zenfone 2 only Cat 4. Disappointed on this.

I've tried both the Galaxy tab s2 8.0 and 9.7 and I like the 8.0 one more since it is portable enough to be able to carry with you at all times. I can fit the tab s2 8.0 into front jeans pockets easily but I can't do the same with the 9.7 since it is too big to fit into pants pockets. In my opinion the tab s2 8.0 has the best screen on any tablet out right now. Samsung usually makes the best screens of any phone or tablet in the market.
