Has anybody upgraded their Tab S2 to Marshmallow yet? If so, how is the performance and battery life? How is the standby battery drain? I'm worried about updating, since my HTC M8's battery has been terrible. Cheers!
I just casually checked for software update and now it's downloading a 900+ mb update, but i don't want to update my device. Can somebody please tell me how to stop it? I'm sure my device will be ruined if I update it. Please reply ASAP! Thanks.
Anonymous, 21 Jun 2016It's a great tablet. But don't drop it...ever!!! I don't know about the 8inches one. But onc... morei also dropped mine .. i was devestated but luckily it cracked along the border and not on the screen
Thanks people you just convinced me to get the Sony z4 tab it was a toss up but after reading your blogs its a no brainier shame
PS I had the original z tab and it was great thought time for a change
The new update drains my battery by about 30% faster even if i'm only reading online! How did it become like that?
Anonymous, 23 Jun 2016Just updated to 6.01 tab s2 8 what happened to screen mirror option Screen mirroring to Chromecast after Marshmallow upgrade still works but only if the CC and the Tab are both connected to the wi-fi. I cannot get casting to work using Guest Mode and Samsung Chat is telling me that it is not supported on the Tab S2.

But don't drop it...ever!!!
I don't know about the 8inches one. But once I dropped my 9.7 (which didn't have a case cover) accidentally, from my table (where I hv dropped my phone few times before, but survived) and the display cracked.
It was costly, but I replaced it since I loved it. But it didn't work smoothly like before and the replaced display also malfunctioned. :(
And now I got my 2nd Tab S2, I ain't gonna use it without a cover (I ordered one), and never gonna drop it. :)
I tried to make it fly, but it didn't go very well. There were really big webs on the sreen. Did I do something wrong.?
This is another tablet after t705 that has been designed to make mony for Samsung only AFTER they sell it. Big money. Pieriod. Why? This Samsung if accidentally hit or dropped from as little as 20 centimeters it develops a spider web cracks on its screen necessitating a change , a very costle change which nears the price of a new unit.
Really devious. Bad for hou Samsung. It happened to to of my units! Do not buy this as sooner or later every device falls.
AnonD-544513, 02 Jun 2016Nice, Guys I just updated my 810 to Marshmellow!now you are gone. Marshmallow sucks for Tab S2, performance will get reduced & now right back of the tab will get hot when u r playing larger games or apps. Never upgrade or update samsung devices. Its samsung policy of downgrading their devices through updates so that we will be forced to purchase newer model by thing ours as an out dated one which actually not.
Marshmallow update ruined this tablet performance. ! Now my device getting hot and benchmark test results goes down. Its Samsung policy of downgrading phones through updates so that we will be forced to purchase the next devices. Dont upgrade to marshmallow. If you ever want your device UI as new as during our purchase. Never update or upgrade it. orelse get ready for the issues and bugs.
