Purchased in August of this year. Only 3 mos old and now wifi will not stay on. Staples stated this is a common problem. Did I buy a dud or is this product not top if the line. This is my first and I am certainly not impressed. Will be looking for higher quality product to replace this one. Any suggestions?

Jeanette, 14 Nov 2016Can I connect my 2TB WD elements to a galaxytab S2 9.7?I worked on my rooted Samsung galaxy note 10.1 2013 edition but HDD had to be fat32 formatted, and this is 2016 device so maybe there wont be need to format HDD to that.

Good tab all around i have 2015 model battery life is excellent dont see difference from 2016 and it has android 6.0 , performence is excellent highly recomend it.

The new chip, snapdragon 652 is around 25-30% more powerfull across the board compared to the last years model with exynos 5433 (also in Galaxy Note 4). It is more power efficiant as well. You will get around 2 more hours out of it for sure. For comparisson, when screen brightness is turned to max. and video is played, after 5 hours the old one has 16% bat. left, and the new one has 36%. Samsung promises up to 12hours of use for the 9.7' model and 14 for the 8.0' model. Expect around 8-10 if watching youtube at 50% brightnes (Wifi). The screen gets really bright for a tablet. The new chip supports fast charging 3.0, but I don't know if the tablet comes with it.
The galaxy Tab S2 VE (valute edition) is in every way better than the older model. Some devices that are also using this chipset are LG V10, Sony Xperia X, Zen fone 3, Galaxy A9 and A9 pro.. It's priced middleranged, but the only thing holding it behind is Adreno 510 with around 150-180g-flops which puts it in the Adreno 418 range in SD 808 (also in LG G4). This doesn't mean it's a bad GPU, but the adreno 530, its bigger brother pushes almost 500g-flops. Adreno 510 has around 30-40% of its preformance on paper, altough the benchmarks often show a smaller delta of 50%, not 60-70. The cpu score (geekbench 3) is around 5% slower than the last years flagship galaxy S6 with exynos 7420. This tablet should have no problem with multitasking, even games will play fine but if you buy a tablet for gaming, you should go with the nvidia tegra tablets. The screen however is the best on Tab S2, followed by the Ipad air2. It's your choice, but almost every review on the internet is about the older model and isn't repesentative for the new one. I've done some extended research since I've bought it last week, I'm getting it tomorrow. Have a nice day, ask for questions if you need anything.

I highly ... moreYou may be right, after using my Note 2 since release (4 years ago) I feel that amoled is somewhat harsh on my eyes, specially night reading, they get sometimes foggy. I had the original amoled tablet the 7.7 and its pretty much the same experience, maybe it's due to the individual illumination of the pixels or maybe it's emitting a slightly harmful light compared to LCDs.
Anyways, the only easy screen on the eyes i have known is e-ink, kobo glo is a joy to read on anytime.

Maybe you can use front, smaller light, or the whole screen for lighting, but those ways are much more inconvenient for lighting.

All other major manufacturers abandoned tablet market long ago. It's just a matter of time until Samsung annnounces that "tab" is dead and that there will be no updates anymore.

I highly suspect amoled display is injurious to health but not with ips display.
any insight ?
