Just did February update seems ok after optimisation and on s10e phone ! Both are good devices my opinion samsung s5e tablet 128gb 4g and the samsung s10e phone both out near 2 years still using these ! No problem's!

Hope this s5e gets 3.1 ui and android 11 there still selling this in the uk ?

Push down on it again and hold the volume rocker down (volume down). Hold both down until it goes into a reset mode. This worked for me.

Farscape 1, 01 Feb 2021Wish they'd put out android 11 early for this as they did for the s10e phone I really don't care about Android 11. It's the worst Android version in the last 5 years with the most restrictions it's becoming more like iOS in freedom and flexibility (Android 11 doesn't play nice with Nova launcher and other custom launchers and disables some very useful ADB commands/software features). Regular security patch updates will do for me until such time Samsung stops updating the tablet's software.

It can be an acquaintance, a family member, a colleague, an enterprise administrator (the tab was issued by a company to an employee for workplace use), or the previous owner of the tablet who reported the tablet as 'stolen' or 'missing' probably did a remote lock on the device - common with pre-owned/refurbished devices. If you bought it brand new in an official Samsung seller (not grey market), and you have receipt as evidence you are the original owner, just send it over to Samsung service center. You can also actually unlock the tablet if it is connected to the internet. Just log in to your Google account from another device (Ex. Desktop PC or laptop), and change the lockscreen password of your tab from there. You can even factory reset the tablet from there. That's how devices nowadays are protected and how reselling of stolen devices are discouraged.

Bought this in Feb. 2020. Today it locked me out. Said I needed a pin to use. I never set a pin. Called Samsung tech couldn't get it to reboot. Couldn't get it to accept codes. Samsung said they couldn't help me. I am out $568. Enjoyed it almost 1 year. Will not buy another Samsung product. My Tab 4 A was slower and had a smaller screen but never failed. Wish I hadn't put it away but kept it.

Anonymous, 17 Jan 2021The fingerprint sensor is really slowIf you experience fingerprint authentication problems, remove the tablet from casing, clean/wipe the power button / fingerprint scanner using cloth/tissue soaked with 70% isopropyl alcohol with the power button / fingerprint sensor facing down, and let dry. Restart / reboot tablet and retest fingerprint sensor by turning off display after entering password the first time (required after reboot). Repeat entire cleaning with alcohol and rebooting procedure if problem doesn't resolve. If still unresponsive, send tablet to repair service.
