I bought this during the summer ( I don't remember the date). This tablet is very good for watching movies YouTube etc. Beautiful display. Fingerprint sensor has never let me down. Works first time all the time. With dolby atmos and two speakers on each side gives a great sound and like I mentioned great for watching movies. The battery is amazing. Hope this helps.

On which version of Android is it now if it was on 9 Pie and how often does it get security updates.
I would buy it because of the Amoled screen for watching IPTV, You tube, movies, music I need recommendations and how long the battery lasts in this mode.

Nano, 12 Nov 2020What will happen after No updates for this tablet ..I mean what are the problems that I will f... moreMost users won't actually notice any 'problems' because the tablet will still be usable for a long time after that as is usual with android devices. You'll no longer get the latest android features or newer OneUI features. Tablet will also stop receiving security updates which can matter if you do financial transactions on the tablet. Other than those mentioned, you won't notice much difference in the tablet's performance and operation since android is made in such a way that Google Play Services can update many of the software's functionality independent of the manufacturer.

I've model.128gb internal memory. But it has 3gb which is still good. This tablet is amazing. Fingerprint works first time everything. With 2.5 update its even better. I have nothing but praise for s5e. Battery is good. Display great for watching movies YouTube and listening to music etc....

They've dropped selling the s6 s4 still selling s5e a good pad s6 lite is pants got 128gb 6gb of ram since September 19 got me through lockdown still using, going to ditch apple any thoughts that is too expensive no usb c or chargers pants

Only tab s6 and s6 lite onwards are eligible for the 3 years of updates. S5e will only have 2 major updates starting from android 9. Samsung has never stated that the 3 years updates for all s series tablets or phone, but only the more recent models.

Sammy Sammy, 16 Oct 2020I just bought Tab S5e from samsung store today and overall it's great. Android 10 alteady... moreSamsung Tab S5e was released in February 2019 with Android 9.0 Pie. A truly brand new, sealed, unopened Samsung tab S5e should come with Android 9 Pie.
If the unit you bought already has Android 10 out of the box, it most likely did not come from a sealed box straight from the factory. It was probably updated by the seller or it's also possible it was a returned item sold as new.

It had several security patch updates afterwards, and then was updated to Android 10 in the first semester of 2020. After the Android 10 update, there were again security patch updates. The last security patch update also contained update to OneUI 2.5.
