Maggi, 26 Apr 2021It did get monthly updates. Then it went to quartly updates. But its good to have march secur... more3.1 has great features but I have not received it yet. If I have the option, I will update for sure. But if they stopp after 2 years, it's fine by me at this point. Unfortunate but nothing we can do. There aren't any better Android tablets.

But its good to have march security update installed. If updates are not important to you then thats fine. Thats your choice and I respect your opinion. Everyone is entitled to choose whether to update thier tabs and phones. I personally like to keep my devices updated.

Battery still good. Edge lightening is good feature. Performance wise it's great. No problems at all. It comes with March security. I hope this helps

But like you said it might not get it. Its a shame as s5e can handle Andrid 12. But it's great to get 3.1. I didn't know we were getting the update. But I'm happy I did. My phones are connected to my tablet with texts and calls I receive on tablet if my phones in another room. Also I like the feature continue apps in another device. But yes I do agree with your comment.

I stopped caring for updates a long time ago. My unit has already a degraded battery so updates won't help in my case anyway. It's just luxury, I can live without it.

Maggi, 21 Apr 2021I' just got update for Android 3.1 on my tab s5e. This is a surprise. Anyone else get it? Yes, I got the Android 11 /OneUI 3.1 update too. I guess this is the last major Android software update for the tab S5e. The tab S5e was released with Android 9 Pie so it has already gotten two major Android software updates. In the meantime, the tab S6 which was released just 4 months after the S5e, within the same year will go on to receive Android 12 (its third major Android software update). It doesn't make sense especially considering the midrange tab S5e sold many more units than the flagship tab S6, and the inferior (to the S5e), cheaper, lower end tab S6 lite is going to get THREE (3) major Android software updates. What was Samsung thinking?
There are other ways to encourage users to buy the newer Samsung tablets and give up their older ones - but depriving the tab S5e of its third Android software update (Android 12) while giving the same to another just released 4 months after in the same year (Tab S6, 2019) simply doesn't make sense. It promotes antipathy instead of loyalty to the brand. Samsung should seriously rethink about it if it wants to promote brand loyalty.

Anonymous, 22 Apr 2021From Germany.You should get it anytime soon. Just keep checking manually. Everything is running smooth. No problems so far. So the edge lighting must have come with the update which is good.

Farscape 1 , 18 Feb 2021Hope this s5e gets 3.1 ui and android 11 there still selling this in the uk ?I posted a comment. I received 3.1 update on my tab s5e today.
