RBsc, 10 Mar 2021Hello,
I am planning to buy a tablet in coming month but I cannot decide what to buy. This ... moreFor your use case it's alright and updates aren't really worth anything. The display has jelly scroll issues, especially in portrait mode.
Software issues like Dolby Atmos turning off after every restart and randomly as well, were never fixed to this day (minor annoyance).
If you want to use it as a laptop it's ok with DeX. I think the other models received DeX too by now though.
I am planning to buy a tablet in coming month but I cannot decide what to buy. This tablets screen and speakers are excellent but it is little bit old and I am afraid that it will become slower in coming months (I will mostly use to read articles, pdf's, and use word). Tab S6 lite or upcoming S7 lite could be a choice but I am not sure about them. Pencil is excellent and their price is little bit lower but according to internet screen and speakers is not that is good enough. I don't want to use Apple (cannot use extension and it is problem for me) and Huawei (don't like it) products. What do you recommend me? Should I buy S5e, would it be enough for couple of years?
there is small white Shadow (Pattern area) when I use Dark mode or any dark thing showed on it ...so is there a solution or should I not care about it ?
Nicolas, 06 Feb 2021Need new tablet and i thinking this one or S6 lite. what you guys recommend?S6 lite got exynos chipset its sucks
I've had this tablet since it came out abd I cannot say enough good about it. It has literally never let me down. Battery lasts ages, picture is SUPER clear, speakers are good. Never crashes, never lags, i keep 100+ tabs open, all run smooth. I cannot say one bad thing about it. It is also very light and great for reading both books, magazines and comics on. Adore this tablet. Tried the newer ones but they weren't as impressive as this little gem.
Highly rec even in 2021.
Just did February update seems ok after optimisation and on s10e phone ! Both are good devices my opinion samsung s5e tablet 128gb 4g and the samsung s10e phone both out near 2 years still using these ! No problem's!
Hope this s5e gets 3.1 ui and android 11 there still selling this in the uk ?
How can I clean Mic ports The sound received from the Mic during Messenger calls is too low ? or is it a software problem ?

Skarenc, 21 Jan 2021Bought this in Feb. 2020. Today it locked me out. Said I needed a pin to use. I never set a pi... moreDid you try holding down the power button until the screen blacks out. Push down on it again and hold the volume rocker down (volume down). Hold both down until it goes into a reset mode. This worked for me.
Farscape 1, 01 Feb 2021Wish they'd put out android 11 early for this as they did for the s10e phone I really don't care about Android 11. It's the worst Android version in the last 5 years with the most restrictions it's becoming more like iOS in freedom and flexibility (Android 11 doesn't play nice with Nova launcher and other custom launchers and disables some very useful ADB commands/software features). Regular security patch updates will do for me until such time Samsung stops updating the tablet's software.
Wish they'd put out android 11 early for this as they did for the s10e phone
Makro67, 21 Jan 2021Does work Double tap to wake up on this model? Yes. Has has double tap to wake feature.
Skarenc, 21 Jan 2021Bought this in Feb. 2020. Today it locked me out. Said I needed a pin to use. I never set a pi... moreSomebody probably locked the tablet accidentally or intentionally. It can be an acquaintance, a family member, a colleague, an enterprise administrator (the tab was issued by a company to an employee for workplace use), or the previous owner of the tablet who reported the tablet as 'stolen' or 'missing' probably did a remote lock on the device - common with pre-owned/refurbished devices. If you bought it brand new in an official Samsung seller (not grey market), and you have receipt as evidence you are the original owner, just send it over to Samsung service center. You can also actually unlock the tablet if it is connected to the internet. Just log in to your Google account from another device (Ex. Desktop PC or laptop), and change the lockscreen password of your tab from there. You can even factory reset the tablet from there. That's how devices nowadays are protected and how reselling of stolen devices are discouraged.
