The tablet is now fast after android 12 update. I used to wonder how people can say i was fast. I thought it was slow on android 11.

Aadrian, 09 Apr 2022I have yet to receive the Android 12 update on my tablet. Samsung is pushing the update to all regions. Some regions take a bit longer. You'll get the update very soon. And if that didn't work, you can always flash the ROM on your tablet. It's very easy and pretty much anyone can do it.

Just found out it only records at 30 FPS whether you're recording in HD (720) or Full HD (1080).
......and playback sucks, that is, only if there's any movement, other than that you're fine. (sarcasm)
Anyway, besides that I like it. But understand first and foremost this is a tablet for someone into the graphic arts. From the S-pen, to the functions, the screen size, this tablet while able to function quite well for any other use, is generally geared towards those that are going to use it for drawing and such.
Oh yeah, comes with tons of bloatware ...most of the apps you can't uninstall, only disable. Surprise.
I use mine mostly for note taking and I love the pen feature in my situations, didn't realize the art aspect until after I had purchased it, but by coincidence I WAS into art and more specifically graphics arts before when I was in high school, the tablet's functions were a welcome addition that helped me get back into art.

I searched the web and Samsung's site said I had to do it through an option called Second Screen. That option is not available in tab S6 lite. I tried to do it through Smart view but no matter how hard I tried I couldn't get my PC to detect my tablet. Maybe I did something wrong but it didn't work for me.

M, 31 Mar 2022What is the storage type? UFS 2.1 ?Actually, that information is not available. I tried every website and every benchmark/hwinfo app and never found anything. The only source I have is that my phone (Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S) has UFS 2.2 and I benchmarked the storage of my phone and my tablet using PCMark Storage Benchmark 2 and the results showed that my tablet has slower storage than my phone but not by a huge margin.
For example, the sequential read speed of my phone is about 490 Mbps. For my tablet, it's about 460 Mbps.
The sequential write speed of my phone is about 240 Mbps but for my tablet, it's a bit over 180 Mbps.
So I think it's fair to assume that Tab S6 Lite has UFS 2.1.

MS, 31 Mar 2022Did they add feature to use tab s6 lite as 2nd screen with laptop or computer?Haven't tested that since I don't any a mini HDMI cable but one time when I got into DeX, I got a notification telling me that I could mirror the tablet's screen on a larger monitor using a mini HDMI cable. Maybe the opposite is also true. Can't vouch for that.

It will come to other countries as well, you just have to be a bit more patient. And if you can't wait, you can just download the rom from Sammobile and flash it usin Odin. That's what I did.

I decided to take one for the team and flashed Android 12 (France Rom) on my tablet.
There are lots of big and small changes but here are the most important ones:
1) There's the option to have 2 or 4 Gb of virtual ram but don't expect any performance jump since main storage is way slower than ram and it's just a measure of last resort when your tablet runs out of system ram.
2) Performance is generally better and slightly smoother. Most of the stutters and hiccups in the homescreen and browing the general UI are gone. But still when you open heavy and large apps, you can expect stutters when you try to pull down the notification bar or when going back to homescreen. It's not a huge stutter, but it's not buttery smooth either.
3) Color pallets are really nice and based on your wallpaper you can apply a new theme color to your general UI.
4) You can now use mini-HDMI to mirror the screen of your tablet on a larger display while using DeX. I haven't tested this so I don't know how well it works. I just got a notification telling me I can do this.
5) Air command menu has had visual changes and it's cleaner now.
6) Floating windows are much better than before.
7) Batter seems to last longer.
8) Camera UI has changed and it's cleaner now.
These are the most important changes I've noticed. In general, I recommend you do the update. It's not a life changer but it's a nice incremental update that builds on what was great in android 11 and adds new useful features.

Android 12 along with OneUI 4.1 has started rolling out for this tablet. It's now available in France. If you've done the update, please let us know about the general experience.
I'd also appreciate it if you could tell me:
1. Is Ram Plus now available?
2. Is the UI laggy?
3. Are there any unexpected crashes?
4. Is multi-tasking smooth?

Set to lowest brightness open google or some wh... more* I'm the 13 Feb 2022 person.
My device is the Wi-Fi model. The flickering could be partially mitigated by selecting the "Disable HW overlays" option in developer options.
Also, are you the "ANONYMOUS-" user (39 posts, 3Ya/J7R locations, Galaxy A12 and Tab S6 Lite in profile page) from the previous posts that mentioned this issue? Both you and that user visited service centers and said that their response is that flickering is normal for this model.
