This tablet is a "tool" intended to be used for media consumption (and it serves the pupose quite well indeed), but absolutely not for serious work.

I got my Galaxy tab aprox. 3 months ago and it's really great although the battery life is not terrific and it lacks the NFC feature. I never thought I would use it but i got a pair of wireless headphones for Christmas that have this feature and it would have been nice to have it on my tablet.
Also i can't share movies on my TV via DLNA if the movie is stored on the SD card .
I have experienced some problems with the mobile network in the past few days that sometimes switches on and off.

Using this since 2 months must say it is awesome, best things i like to mention is display camera and sound over all excellent experience but..... battery timing is not good even when i use it at minimum brightness just acceptable

Apparently, I posted my opinion on the wifi only Tab S 10.5 instead of this one, which is fine either way.
So, I got mine around a month ago. All I can say is that it's really amazing! When my Apple fan friends saw it they said it's really gorgeous and made them think about getting one instead of the ipad air. So far mine's really fast. Haven't experienced much lag. Although one minor problem that I've encountered is when I'm in a call, it automatically sets it to speaker mode. I don't think it has any handset mode since there isn't any earpiece beside the camera. Anyway I don't really use it for calls and texts that much. Just purely data surfing, school works, and entertainment purposes. Overall, this piece of art is totally worth the money!
For those who are interested in using their Tab S as a notebook for school/work, I just bought this Capacitive Stylus from Cosmonaut along with this free app called Fiinote. I must say, it works very well although I still haven't figured out the palm rejection thing (e.g. being able to rest your hand on the surface while writing). But with the build of the Cosmonaut Stylus, you don't really need the palm rejection (for me) since I write with it in a way you do with white board markers. This is because of its wide width which I find very comforting. Anyway, if someone does find a better stylus and app for note-taking, hit me up!

Can someone (Knowledgeable) advise me whether to buy TAB S 10.5LTE or NOTE 10.1 (2014 Edition)? The specs seems to be almost the same (other than expandable memory). I prefer Note 10.1(2014) because it has Stylus and overall look with leather back over looks much better. Even PPI is marginally higher in Note 10.1. Only difference is the Contrast ratio - in TABS is infinite (nominal). In Note 10.1 its 821:1 (Nominal), according this website. Will this effect the display experience drastically. Your valuable input is appreciated.

Thanks NIK,After formatting my 1 tb hardisk to FAT 32 can i store photos,videos and documents using the tab.Can i store to the full capacity of 1tb.

ch 67, 13 Dec 2014My WD passport ultra 1 tb doesnt play in the Tab S.How to change the format from ntsc to fat.p... moreCopy all of your data out. Then format disc. Choose FAT 32 before start formatting. FAT 32 only can kerp file bup to 4gb. Over 4 gb you still have to keep file in NTFS format
