Had this in 2014 and thought it sux. Got it out the draw 2017 and updated to nougat and starting to enjoy it

I would say this tablet is really good but mine is stopped working I think it have some water damage on it in the home button sometimes i touch my fingerprint sensor while my fingers still wet and also I think the cpu and gpu also broke but still good tablet you know I'll surely repair this tab cause it part on my life too btw it's only 2years I used this tab and broke down next September I will be 4years

This tablet is neglected in upgrading to Android Nougat. Where in fact, specs of this tablet is even higher than other tablets which already updated to Nougat. I'm just saddened of the fact that Samsung did not push this to the said update. Still using this tablet though it was forgotten. Hope Samsung realize that..Not to be unfair to the user of this abandoned yet still sophisticated tablet and still can match to the latest tablets in the market today. Wake up Samsung!!!!

Had my OTA update now for a while with no ill effects whatsoever. Will keep this outstanding tablet fresh for quite a while yet.
BTW I will say my Tab S takes an awful long time to charge, this was the case before any updates. Will/can 'fast charge' ever come via updates on an older device or is this a hardware thing?

after marshmallow update
at first everything was fine, but after a few hours of usage and transferring a few files from the laptop, i decided to restart it (it takes forever to boot with the samsung logo on screen) and after ages of waiting i get a note at startup (process system isn't responding) + the wifi don't work anymore.
clearing cache & data (through recovery mode) didn't help either.

Finally i received marshmallow OTA today morning in india.
Samy you are too late on updates.
Works fine. Yet to discover what's new.

Mr.Savio38, I just tried update to marshmallow after 906MB update data but it's stuck at Samsung logo after 1-100% update. What should I do now ? Can you provide any step by step link to solve the issue? Or any solution by Kies or Odin ( with link please ). Thanks... I really am worried to solve this.

Samsung S galaxy is amazing... glad it literally informs me when it needs a software upgrade

Am from Nigeria, I received an update/upgrade to Marshmallow 6.0.1 OTA of 838MB on my Tab S 10.5 LTE yesterday 17-10-2016. After the upgrade, my Tab performance is very good and excellent.
My people, if your Tab pop up for update/upgrade, go ahead and upgrade to Marshmallow 6.0.1 you will enjoy your Tab S 10.5 LTE more. Good luck!

How can we organise to ask Samsung to make the next model widescreen as the galaxy tab s?. There's so many complains about the Samsung galaxy s2 for the 4:3 format.
