It is actually Samsung that disabled the GSM calling
capabilities on that Tablet. Any Tablet that is designed exclusivly for AT&T OR T-Mobile will have call feature disabled (either because of APPLE or in order to rip off US costumers with separate data plans).
GOOD NEW ARE:
The new Europen p6200 and p6800 Tablets can definitely make GSM calls as been confirmed by two New Yok stores that sell these European versions of Galaxy Tab. You can use T-Mobile or AT&T simcards with those tablets. Just with T-Mobile you can't use their internet because these tablets have no HSDPA 1700 band for T-Mobile USA. If you want to stick with T-Mobile prepaid, then get a " Clear Internet" or "Verizon prepaid LTE" plans for those tablets!

I hope Apple goes bankrupt soon, because they stopped this perfet Samsung Tablet-Phone from being delivered to T-Mobile USA (because of the pending lawsuit in Europe against Samsung). This is the only 7.0 Tablet that has GSM Voice capabilities.
Thanks God we still cqan get this Tablet-Phone from
good guys like http://welectronics.com
As for APPLE: Go to hell with your over-priced operating system and your eggo!
I just got one two days back,it a beautiful peice, will get to know more after I am used to it.
I would like to buy it, but the price is not mention clearly, kindly mention the price.
Deliberately its a good device. especially it is intended for better browsing experience and video calling. well, size is big to pack in your pocket. but is a wonderful device once you play on it. go for it when you've another mobile for your regular calls. but definitely its better than a laptop if you consider some constraints.
