I can't believe someone still think that way aboit screen resolution. You need more pixel in small display because we put the screen close to our face. We put less pixel in large display because we stay at a fat distant from the screen. Don't you get it? Look at tv billboard on the street. Does it look like that 100inch billboard have 4k display to you? Why would you want high resolution on something that you cannot look at in arm length distant. You would be looking at it at least 50feets away. Now, that is logic my dear.

People have different needs for different things. I purchased this as a portable screen for my home security system instead of the standard computer monitor and its a great idea for this. I can carry from room to room to have a constant view of security cameras as apposed to sitting in one room. Think outside the box different things are great for different things if you want 4k viewing buy a 65 inch TV like everyone else!

Seems none of you have bought it or have a need for it
I am older, with arthritic finger and poorer vision. The keyboard is amazing with a numeric keypad. The font is great and easy to read with hardly any strain on the eyes

The weight is ok.. heavy but less than my 15" laptop. The handle is great when you need to get up and put the tablet beside you .. on the floor ....no need for a side table to trip off
The applications are great. The screen is OK for TV but not great for low resolution pictures.
I've had it for a day, and I thing it is perfect for the senior and aging population

are you dumb or what?
if Samsung puts QHD on a 5.1", then it's pretty logical if they put at least QHD on a 18.4" device.
even their 12" tablet has higher resolution, if you really didnt bother much about pixelation then 720p on a 5.5" would be perfect for you.

There is display of 2k and 4k around 19-22 inches but all of that are either computer monitor like Apple or TV. There is no such TABLET with that kind of display. 8k is 'soon' to arrive, not now, not commercially either. We are talking aboit availability as in 'NOW'. You are making a fool of yourself. 4k display will make the price of tablet that size pretty much unaffordable anyway. You need to think of the costing too. Your ego might want nice 2k or 4k display but what the point if it is price over $2000 and no one buys it. My advice, don't be too greedy.

But regardless they shouldve put 1440p display on this one

First of all there are 2K displays about 19-20" and 4K monitors about 22 - 32" and soon 8K monitors .
so more than 200ppi already achieved...
By the way...
PPI means Pixels per inch, that means pixel amount per arround 2,8 cm2.
You see not much difference between 1920*1080@18.4 and 2560*1600@18.4 but there is huge difference.
QHD version has about 400 more pixels per cm2 than FHD version.
Pixel amount of FHD @ 18.4" = 2073600
Pixel amount of QHD @ 18.4" = 4096000
Difference amount of between resolutions = 2022400
2 million pixel is nothing for you...
Right....

but only 1080p on a freaking 18.4" device.Let me educate you a little. To give you an overview, there is no tablet or monitor that size have more than 200ppi ever existed even if it is QHD display. For example, Dell XPS 10 with 10inches display only have 155ppi. Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 only have 247ppi even when using QHD display.
If Note Pro was 18.4inches the ppi would be only 164ppi anyway. So, if Galaxy view even use QHD display with 164ppi, there is not much difference compare to when it is using the 1080p FHD display with 120ppi.
All you get with QHD display is more battery drain and more complain from customers. Even with a 4k display, at 18.4inches you get merely 240ppi. If Samsung do use that 4k display, the price will go approximately over $1500 for the giant tablet and no one will buy it. Now you understand?

What is the point to buy a tablet ?? The tablet is a bigger smartphone . What can you do on a tablet and can t on your smartphone ??? nothink . If you want somethink portable powerfull buy a notebook , if you want somethink even more portable buy a smartphone . Android is good for a phone but you can t even compare with a windows made for noteebok , pc you can put 100gb ram and 50core and still nothink
