EB-BG715BBE is what it says on the battery that came with my XCover Pro, and it is also what it says on the extra battery I ordered and received. They look and work exactly the same (apart from the serial number, of course). In what way would they differ?

I waited for two weeks after pre order to receive my new Xcover Pro.It was buggy right out of the box.The screen flickered and blinked and would go completely black.If I tapped on the middle of the screen it might come back on.The support from Samsung was the absolute worst. They sent me to a local repair shop and the guy looked at the phone and told me he knew absolutely nothing about it. Didn't have parts for it and couldn't get parts for it.I called Samsung and the woman,who I could barely understand, basically called me a liar.She said there was no way the repair guy told me that.Well I finally had to send the phone to Samsung's Texas repair facility,having had to buy a less expensive temporary replacement while they repaired my BRAND NEW ALMOST $600.00 PHONE! If I wanted a refurbished phone I would have bought one.Well the phone works fine now and I think it's a good upper mid range phone.But I will never buy another Samsung anything.Samsung absolutely does not support their products. My next phone will be an iPhone. Apple has a location near you where they actually look you in the face and don't treat you like an asshole.

Purchased directly from Samsung on their web... moreThere is an option in the settings to select which carrier you are trying to set the phone up with. Verizon is a CDMA only carrier and you will need to make sure that option is selected before trying to activate the phone. Also make sure your inserting the SIM card into the primary slot (SIM 1) or it won’t work. I’m surprised Samsung and Verizon didn’t help you through this but it is also possible you were sent the incorrect version. If you don’t have two SIM slots that may be the case.

Doug Jensen, 05 Jul 2020Sounds like a user problem.You likely have the screen sensitivity set to high. There is a setting to change screen responsivity while wearing thick gloves.

I received my unlocked xcover pro a few days ago. Purchased directly from Samsung on their website. The rugged features seamed perfect for me, as I work outside, in the Northeastern US. However, I spend 2 days with verizon techs and a few hours with Samsung and never got the phone to fully activate. I spent a lot of time because I really wanted it to work. Unfortunately, both Verizon and Samsung gave up. I have to return this phone and shop for something else.

Anonymous, 10 Jul 2020Doesn't appear as an app that you can make an APK out of, at least not with any tool that... moreAPK Extractor from F-Droid worked fine on mine, but I don't want to upload some proprietary software somewhere. Besides, various APK mirrors have the app, called Samsung Radio:

Whether it works on a phone that does not come with it installed, that is another question. Might be some firmware blocking going on, then the app will not help.

This FM radio issue is really bumming me out. Anyone from Australia able to extract their radio apk and post somewhere for us to try out? None of the others work on the one I bought off Amazon (SM-G715UZKDXAA).
