suyog, 31 Mar 2011i'm thinking to buy this phone can any one tell me is it possible to transfer my data from nok... moreContacts are very easy to transfer - you just need to put a folder named contact on ur Android device(you can find more info on how to do it on google), but for callendar and sms not so sure - calendar connects to ur google calendar so if you can sync. ur nokia calendar with the google one - everything will appear on ur device.... but dude just google it and all ur answers will receive a simple solution :D
How can i set the contacts to be viewed with number and name?10x a lot
suyog, 31 Mar 2011i'm thinking to buy this phone can any one tell me is it possible to transfer my data from nok... moreNokia phones support google contacts/calendar/e-mail via mail for exchange (search for google sync). So you can transfer your contacts to your google account and consequently to your android phone, not sure if there's a solution for sms messages though.
1. SE TimeScape
2. HTC Sense
3. Motorola Motoblur
4. Samsung TouchWiz
Ya, it's sad that Google chose to partner with Samsung to make their Nexus phones. Worse mistake. They have good hardware but bad build quality. And they don't know jack about software. Just know how to copy Apple. Touchwiz UI sucks, HTC sense rules!
im rishard from srilanka,im using Samsung Google nexus

mg3k, 25 Mar 2011Google Nexus S Display is Super Clear LCD. Not Super AMOLED.There was a Nexus S that has Super Amoled display but now been replaced with SuperClear or S-LCD
anybody familiar with Globe Telecoms internet settings for the Nexus S?
Thanks in advance.
i'm thinking to buy this phone can any one tell me is it possible to transfer my data from nokia s^3 phone like contact, Calendar entry & Sms ???
I'd say in terms of hardware, the Nexus S is pretty solid. Not a fan of Samsung so I didn't really like the fact that Google chose to partner with them for the phone. Still, solid hardware but nothing too fancy apart from that NFC chip.
I love the softare though! Bought this solely cause of the stock Gingerbread included!
Houghhj, 29 Mar 2011The nexus S is a great phone if you know how to use it. Battery life is one big issue, but not... moreThe Truth is that Android battery management is not very good. The Phone with GPS and WIFI and 3G bluetooth, all of this can be turn off to save battery life, but the BIG Question is ? From me personally : WHy we need a phone like this if I can not leave them on all the time? On the other hand, the iPhone 4 battery performance is very good while leaving GPS Data on all time(which what I did all time). If the battery management? or really the task management on Android can be better, Android will give people more reasons to have one.
The nexus S is a great phone if you know how to use it. Battery life is one big issue, but not one that cant be resolved. Majority of people leave their gps, bluetooth and wifi on constantly...thats an obvious start. Also as one person has mentioned, unselect NFC communications. The best way is to turn off ur data when ur not using it AND to turn off 3g signals when ur not using internet! 2g travels fuyrther so this will improve ur signal anyway and save u battery. turn it on when you need it only! this works :)
I got mine on saturday and it`s DAAAAAAAMMN fast! I`m lovin it - great job @ Samsung!
bad decision from Google to let Samsung make Nexus 2 .
Nexus 1 ( made by HTC) had amazing hardware when it was first released , made many people including me rush to buy it and experience the Android within it.
Nexus 2 is exactly same as the old Galaxy S !!
BIG disappointment Google .
plz give Nexus 3 to a better company next time .
Have any owners of this phone experienced any of he following issues:
1. Cannot attach music files to a Gmail email. (Will only allow the selection of photo/pictures from the gallery)
2. Cannot save a photo to the gallery when received via mms (i'm using handsent mms, but still won't work in default mms), can only save it by pressing down on the photo while in handsent or mms thread and selecting "copy attached to SD card"
Just got my nexus s, us version with super amoled.
Used iphone 4 before, but since i like android better, this was a better alternative for me, like it alot.
Down side, charging it takes little bit longer time then my iphone 4, but battery lenght is better on nexus for sure.
