Mobilemaster, 14 Dec 2010I don't agree with you! I don't think that the Desire HD is so bad, but I don't want to fight ... morethe lacks memory card for security my friend. and i like your opinion about HTC desire hd .. but HTC desire is not successful like Samsung galaxy s ...

For those who would like to compare the Nexus S to the HTC Desire HD, do you know that the HTC Desire HD has a LCD Screen? NOT a SLCD. Do you know it barely lasts 1/2 a day on moderate usage as a "Smart Phone". Turn off the features, and it's your regular Feature Phone. Do you know that quality Plastic weighs less, and that 129g as opposed to 164g is a significant difference in your Pockets as well as when you hold the Phone in your Hands for over 20 minutes?
As for those who would like higher Processor speeds and weighty RAMs, wouldn't you be the first ones to crib about Battery life. The Processor and RAM contribute a lot towards battery usage.
Samsung have put efforts to make it a "Phone", i.e. not an AC-Powered device that will power off the moment you disconnect the Charger.
Have you ever thought why HTC devices have such pathetic Battery lives despite all their other great features? Have you ever compared the Super AMOLED screen to an LCD screen, especially in Sunlight?
I understand, and agree, that much more was expected from the Nexus S to set a Benchmark for the next Generation Phones, but there are reasons which we don't know about, as to why they weren't implemented.

Is better with SLCD display, but more ram and memory card, and is very expensive..... this is my opinion
@google customer care
It is true that a large number of people who have posted opinions probably do own ipods and iphones. I know that the iphone had the same flaws as this phone but a large amount of phone buyers are tweens/teens. For them and many others, having a cool phone is a must. But because phones are being released so quickly, by the time a person has enough money to purchase a high end phone such as the nexus s, there will already be a better/more modern handset on the market. Making your purchase pointless. With the iphone, it has almost become a household name. Iphones are released less regularly than other handset meaning that people have time to wait for the prices to drop. And because it is so well known, the latest iphone will always be seen as cool and modern even if it was released months ago. Take the iphone 4. It was released months ago but people still want one and it is a cool teen phone in the eyes of most. Anyway...hope all goes well for the nexus s. Its a good phone and should do well
It hardly make any sense to buy this stuff, it has Gingerbread and secondary camera but no additional card slot, and it cost u 650euro. Rather going for this handset or HTC desire HD, i would prefer myself to purchase Motorola Droid Pro, overall with feature it kills both the handset's(Nexus s & Desire HD). First this has a unique form factor touch and type, 320 x 480 pixels, 3.1 inches full touch display. Second about internal memory it is 8GB inbuilt, it has 512 MB RAM with 2 GB ROM, and expandable memory is up to 32GB, which is much better than Desire HD, and also come's along with 8GB microSD card. Third about OS and Processor Droid pro has Android OS, v2.2 Froyo which also get's upgrade to Gingerbread, and 1GHz TI OMAP3620-1000 processor which is much better than Nexus s. Forth and last is Camera and Price point, this has 5 MP camera with 2592х1944 pixels, autofocus, dual-LED flash and Video is on D1 (720x480 pixels) @ 26-30 fps which is far better in this Price point which is 380euro.
I have read the first five pages of this forum about the Nexus S. No memory card slot and price tag seem to be the reason why most of you won't pick up this phone this Christmas. I must respond and say those are minor issues. Whats also funny is that the majority of you poster either have an ipod touch or iphone. Never heard complaints from millions of people lining up to buy the iphone 4 even before it was released which by the way no card slot and very much pricey. For android or google fan boy who are disappointed in this build because sadly I must say, for what it's worth, it does feel a bit cheap in hand but with the features that come with the phone, it will suffice. I will be reading post til this weekend. Maybe see your view of the perfect Google phone in terms of build.
