Obviously u ll lose all ur contacts, but if u have set up ur gmail account to sync ur contacts, it ll revert back from ur gmail when u sign in for the first time after reset.
For better reliability u can export ur contacts to SD Card before reset! To do so, goto
contacts > options > export/import > export to SD card.
and to import
contacts > options > export/import > import from SD card.

To connect to internet via this phone, u need to configure the apn settings which ll be available @
settings>Wireless & Networks>Mobile network Settings>Access point names> options> Add new apn
ask those inputs from your service provider!
U have not clearly mentioned what problem u have with ur wifi, can't help u with that!
