I have upgraded this nice machine to Android 2.2 Fryo with no difficulty.
It's the best choice in this price range. I just don't like the battery life.

I tried to upgrade my firmware from 2.1 to 2.2 but no luck ..

the best smartphone within the budget, its now just 8.5k. better go for the android galaxy models like galaxy 5, 3, pop, fit. all under 10k only.

skg, 11 May 2011i purchased the same on feb2011.now i also facing the same problems,worst battery back up,lowe... morethen you should... sell it n buy the galaxy fit coz it is the best in that range and it does have android 2.2

iklabombompow, 09 May 2011can you tell me if this phone supports songs(mp3)as message tone,,.,.or just like some other s... moreu can set mp3 songs to be your ringtone, just long press the song then choose set as ring tone..

What update i can do for this mobile, i see that 2.3 is available. Can i make the update to 2.3 or 2.2.

to folks who have problem on the batterty backup, plz kindly turn off ur accont & sync's background data. this saves the battery life a lot n boost the battery life to minimum 3 days of normal usage. hope this helps. bcoz i faced this problem b4. galaxy 5 have its background data sync on by default.
