i am not able to check the balance and validity by using the code *123# itz saying MMI complete...though i can check by calling the customercare....but after any calls or after msging someone the screen will not show our current balance nd validity left.... is this a common problem? plz reply? my phone is i5503

Wel l this phone really rocks. Specially the swype keyboard. To make the UI better go to android market and download ADW launcher and then download the loads of beautiful themes and enjoy. But the battery is very poor. Android 2.2 update for it will be out in Nov,2011.

if you want to save battery limit the brightness and if uru not using the wifi turn it off as well as 3g, if ur only using it for text msgs and call in a certain time, better set it into 2g. this saves battery life

The phone is asking you to add a google account or create it in order to sync your phone content with internet google account. Very useful if your using more than one phone or switching for another. I changed HTC viva for Samsung I5500 and all my agenda was updated in the new I5500 throu the google account.

AnonD-1883, 17 Feb 2011Galaxy 5 or SE Xperia X10 better? The X10 has much better hardware, but this one, has a much much better software. I recently bought this phone, and now i'm not using my X10. This one is much better.
All in all:
If you care about the camera, and the screen, Take the X10
If you want a small, cheap, but fully functional android phone (that you can upgrade) this one is better for your money
