Rahul, 14 Oct 2010Someone please help. Is there a 100% guarantee that we can upgrade this phone to 2.2, FROYO in... morebad news guys. Samsung is not giving the froyo update to the version available in India. I mailed them in their official website. try yourself if you don't believe me. They will provide only upgrading in 2.1 only when it is available. ours cannot be upgraded to froyo. sorry to say this. Samsung people, you suck.

I was dreaming of Iphone and Nokia N8.. I saw the prices and tried the N8.. then I bought this Samsung Galaxy 3... it was really a great idea. Android 2.1 runs smoothly, the synchronization with gmail and the google agenda is perfect. Ok the camera is not so great, but still ok and quick, I decided to carry a good camera besides my phone rather than have an hybrid like the N8 where the compromises always lead to disappointment, just try to take a photo with flash with the N8 and you will see what I mean...I wish you good luck in your quest of the good phone for you, it took me a while to find it and it s for me the galaxy 3

Has anyone tried using the GPS(without data connection)?And does it show your location?I tried using GPS Test and it shows 0 satellites.Any solutions??

dude go and take lg omtimus because 13 app free no hanging prbm galaxy 3 is the bad phone i didnt seen before bull shit phone no clarity in sound display very slow interner lg gt 540 best go collect in now

iam using two phine of android one is samsung galaxy3
and lg optimus gt 540 samsung is good but clarity is very bad compare to lg very slow internet +no battery backup they have given 1500mah but not good i suggest you to go lg omtimus gt 540

A Honest review
This phone is amazing. I got the phone 1 week back and I all the way happy wit it.
Pros:
1. Android 2.1
2. Very good solid body
3. Battery backup is great
4. Connectivity[edge/gprs] is also great.
5. Rich collection of apps in Android Market
6. Multi touch
7. you will get it for 11.7k in blore
8. word prediction which typing message/email, is awesome.
Cons:
1. Apps keep runnign in Back Ground which drain ur battery and eat up CPU time. It is a Android defect.
WorkAroud: Install apps[available in MARKET] which can kill process(s) running in BG. This saves lots of battery
2. Camera not that great. And with No flash, photos taken in lil shaddy/darker env wont look great.
3. Black color is getting sold out in blore. All new ones are WHITE, which is so yukky. I guess something seriously went wrong with the design ppl, when they let this color out into market.
