shankar, 26 Oct 2011don't worry just upgrade your phone to foryo, it will work awesome. I am using the same phone ... moreits a hardware problem for sure, because i've upgraded it to froyo, but the problem still exists. As H said, its getting harder to get the "menu" key to funktion...
H, could you tell me what exactly they did to fix this problem in Samsung Service Center?

I absolutely love this phone. It is amazing and i have used it for over half a year. It hardly ever lags and now Samsung have announced that they are most likely releasing gingerbread (android 2.3) for our phones by December.

Madhav pandey, 27 Oct 2011My samsung galaxy I5800's battery doesn't hold for long time ,i.e. Two hrs also. But my mobile... moreit's a great phone but you MUST be sure that all your apps and stuff are closed before you put it in your pocket, otherwise your battery is emty very quikly

For all the android users download "androzip" from the market .You can use the app to backup other apps so that you can delete them to free memory.Also download "elixir" this app can be used to stop the phone from connecting to the net.And to limit your internet usage download "3g watchdog"

Even I had dealt with a similar situation in the past. Earlier the key would function after a few tries, but eventually it just stopped working completely. Later came to know that the touchpad had been damaged. If it is still under warranty, then get it fixed at the Samsung Service Centre for free!
