The phone is little slow in opening selected items. There is a bug in the phone like the battery goes from 60 or 70% to direclty 20% and shows low battery. The worst part is when it shows low battery U cannot open video player, music player, camera or any other applications. Samsung should correct this ASAP.

According to me its a good phone,only downfall is video recording.

Sahib Ghai, 24 Sep 2010I bought it on 15th Sep'10 at Agra till now nither dealer nor service station or Vodafone cent... more1. Delete the downloaded gprs setting
2.recreate the gprs setting manually
3.go to mobile network option select the network setting automatic
4.check the data services during roaming option
5.then open the internet it will work

This phone is awesome. Touchscreen response is just outstanding.

Avoid. It's been a huge disappointment. The touchscreen is slow to respond.Sometimes it looks as if the processor hung up. The KIES software is painfully slow and looks archaic too.There is no way to stop an image upload except by switching off!Simple features that are common in a basic mobile are missing.Go for this phone if you have lots of time to wait for a response from it.I lost all the images taken on the camera while trying to move it to my laptop.

hey guyz just help me out on this one ...... me and my brother had 2 change phones so since i liked the galaxy 3...my bro got the gt540 optimus.......and i have to say it looks stunnin.....and the HVGA screen is gr8(xcuse me as i havnt cheked out amoled and superamoled)........with a promised 2.1v upgrade in 2 months..............guys am confused since my heart was set on galaxy 3 bt samsungs built and the wqvga screen is the major gripe.....also i liked the the stock android home screen ...can one choose between android screen and samsung screen in g3?.or anyother app dere wich does the trick>?!......plz reply guys!!.

Samsung Galaxy S is available in PK mkt but very expensive. i am waiting for this device and hope the half of Galaxy S

why it is done and for what purpose..
w... morei am a amateur as fara s rooting is concerned but to put it simply it grants admin previliges for ur phone.
lets u take control of ur phone.
u will be able to uninstall preloaded apps. install live wallpapers. load custom themes. and be able to load unofficial firmware releases. also u will be able to store appa on ur memory card. but since everything is linux kernel based rooring itself does not give u this previliges. u will need to use commands to enable a lot of them. xda forum has detailed instructions. but general advice is if u do not know what rooting is do no do it. cos if u do it wrongly u can end up with a dead phone on ur hands. thats y i myself am waiting. for a very simple n00b guide for rooting and to hear abt any problems frm those who have rooted their phones

[deleted post]it is an app which uses ur camera and gps to show u in real time any landmarks that are near u or can be viewd thru ur camera. u can view landmarks as u move. its like google sky app but for landmarks on earth

Miss Y, 25 Sep 2010is d screen resolution of galaxy 3 so bad???......or is it similar to samsung star fones.360 x 640 pixels is good resolution for 3.2 inch screen which is only 240 x 400 pixels in this phone.
