actually i m goin to buy galaxy 3 this sunday......
but i m just asking bout it's miltitouch capabilities...
worst thing is that there are not satisfactory reviews on youtube.....

[deleted post]it is i5800 but there is no difference beetween the two , galaxy 3 is sold as i5801 in india as i have one

Miss Y, 24 Sep 2010Hoe about nokia 5800??........is it bttr dan d galaxy series???nokia 5800 is good in some espects but it has some technology lag..performence problems which will be corrected in symbian 3 new os in new nokia phones, nokia 5800 and other symbian 1 phones are missing mainly multi touch ,multiple home screen, seemless verity of application, nokia is trusted brand in india and perhaps in europe, they are not at all sold in US, they preffer iphon 4 and android phones..so if you want new technology, good performence and good os go for galaxy 3.

iphone 3g is old compared to galaxy.....

Miss Y, 24 Sep 2010plz guide me whether i shud go for samsung galaxy 3 or samsung galaxy 5 or samsung monte???? ... moreit depends on you whether you need a smart phone or a simple phone...for this price galaxy 3 is best smart phone with android 2.1 but on the other hand resolution is not good and vedio recording is also not good in any of samsung phone in this price range... if you want to pay more 3k then you will get X6 with 8gb and 16gb options....but you can rather wait for symbian3 if you want to go for nokia

I checked out both galaxy 3 and galaxy 5 at samsung store here in pune (well not the actual models but the dummy handsets) And I found out that the screen of galaxy 5 is a bit wide than the galaxy 3, of course galaxy 3 `s screen is longer. Would that make any difference if galaxy 3`s screen is not wide as galaxy5`s?
I was planning to buy galaxy 5 but after checking out loads of reviews on both phone`s. I changed my mind and now I am going for galaxy 3. Now I am just waiting for my credit card to come in next month so that I can get the phone on EMI from mobile store.

hey people, after havin been through a complete and thorough research of the present cellfone market, I simply believe this phone i5801(in india) is totally a steal.
Simply bcz it gives U access to the seeming unlimited world of apps provide by the Android market; although U need to undstand d fact subject to the price tag the hardware is a bit subpar with what Android demands.
Though 3.6 Mbps may seem less in comparison with 7.2Mbps or 10Mbps HSDPA, its more than sufficient for atleast the next 4-5 years.
Do ask me if at all U wanna know more?
