I am owner of SAMSUNG GALAXY 3 APOLLO GT-I5801. I upgraded my device to Android 2.2 Froyo by authorised service centre 2 times. But each time, my Android internet browser as well as any other browser like Skyfire, Opera Mobile, Dolphin and Miren are unable to show plugin content even after enabling plugin content in settings. For example, 'www.cavernsofblood.com', 'www.millaj.com' could not be viewed with animated content after Froyo upgrade. With Android 2.1 Eclair, these websites were easily viewed with animated content after enabling plugin content in settings in Android browser. Most of the websites and links in them now could not be opened after froyo upgrade. 'www.dda.org', 'www.iete.org' are the examples. All this was perfectly working in Android 2.1 Eclair. In Froyo, while browsing internet websites, a blue coloured cube with question mark sign appears in place of plugin content which is annoying. Kindly help me by providing a proper solution.

Official update to v2.2 is available.i recently upgraded to froyo n evrythins workin fine.use kies to upgrade,though it took sum 15 to 20 attempts to gt my fone connectd,bt once aftr connction rst process wnt smooth...no issues at all....
N abt da android widget prob,those still using v2.1,uninstall da map updates n reboot da fone..da widgets will strt wrkin...
N dose wid da opinion dat aftr upgrade da fone gts slower,i infct m findin it gettin fastr n smoothr....

neel, 27 Jul 2011hey..pls help me out is there any way i can play flash videos on my samsung galaxy 3?? and... moreyes it can be updated to 2.2froyo...install skyline which support flash...use ur favorite browser for surfing and if u come across any video( YouTube videos)open it with skyfire..it plays it quickly and in full mode.( but recently i can't able to play videos on my phone.. after updating skyfire )

Sean, 17 Jul 2011I have had one a month or two. Still no sign of an upgrade to Froyo in the UK. My phone isn't ... moreSame problem happening with me, when i try to add any android widget. And same occurred in my friend's phone. I think this problem is common with these type of phone.
But he said, this problem is now gone after he upgraded to froyo.
Resetting the phone to factory settings may be other option, but I didn't tried it yet.

I have had one a month or two. Still no sign of an upgrade to Froyo in the UK. My phone isn't locked. Also, annoyingly, messaging on mine keeps crashing and requiring a forced closure. Once done its deleted all my txts. It seems to be a memory thing as it seems to happen when I have a few, maybe one hundred or so txts. Anybody any tips on how to correct this?

I got my phone upgraded to Froyo 2.2 at Samsung Customer care center in Hyderabad, After the upgrade:
1) GPS is almost dead, out of 10 attempts I got the locks only once. At least with Android 2.1 GPS Booster was working. Nothing works with 2.2.
2) Skype doesn't work.
3) Camera stopped working.
So the main 3 reasons for which I bought this phone are not fulfilled after the Froyo upgrade. I must say purpose is defeated :-(

BJ, 11 Jul 2011This phone not as good as expected. Specs state battery standby on 3g is 510 hours. The best... moreStandby means, the phone is on with sim card, you don't touch the screen, you don't make or receive call, you don't do anything with phone... try this one and see how long it stands.
