Has anyone rooted galaxy 3? Can we install apps on memory card after rooting?

i bought galaxy 3 this month. i find it a very good phone in 12k(Rs) band. The galaxy 3 i got is I5801 and compared to I5800 it much sexy looking and much better than the reviews here. I also find the display very crisp. it's good. b/w HTC wildfire and galaxy 3 i choose galaxy.
hope my opinion does not change over time ;)

i think you are not following proper steps as it never happened with me. follow this.
1. in your pc android usb driver must be installed(if you have installed kies once in Your pc den foot worry it would be installed)
2. when you connect to usb click mass storage.( if it doesn't shows options den it is taking default. you can change setting by going to settings-about phone-usb setting and click ask when connected.)
3. after this drop down your notification bar where there will be message which shows allow copy click on it den there will be a pop up click mount on it.
by this way your mobile sd card. would be acting as a usb drive on your pc.

KIES PROBLEM, 10 Nov 2010wenever i try to access kies , it gives the followin error report : " Mainstage has enco... morewell i think .net frame work is old it offer 3.5 Atleast there are so many minimal requirements like this you have to fulfill all of it. i really agree that kies sir the worst pc suit made ever.

Anonymous, 11 Nov 2010I dint understand what application u installed and how... Can u brief it...its not a application.... i updated. my phone's firmware... i updated from DDJG6 firmware to XXJK1 firmware. ... nd phones now faster and more battery efficient

Google backs up your phone contact irrespective of whether contact on your phonebook has gmail account or not.
And, it definitely saves phone number.
Give it a try.

i just flashed my phone with latest Europen firmware... not thru kies... i did that manually thru odin... phone seems faster and shifts more quickly from portrait to landscape.. + i got 2 new stock apps in application menu namely lattitude and Places.. places is a kool app.... will soon post abt any changes in battry life if any... : )

Whenever I installed a application from Android Market, my mobile processor works too slow and I suppose to face Network issue as well :(.
How i can resolve this issue ?

A factory reset solves the problem. So far I had to do 3 factory resets in 2 months.

TL, 10 Nov 2010Why not sync with google account?? Just go to contacts, open activities window, press menu ... morebut that only syncs those contacts which have a gmail a/c and also thrz no restore option...and it doesnt save phone numbers

Besides this fring is much better than skype.
