but aftr tht im unable to log in to my gmail account/Android market.....although im able to surf internet n other sites like facebook...
plz help....i want to download appln,games...

th... moreI did talk abt the CPU and the RAM while talking abt the performance, tho didnt mention the specs just coz they all have approx 600Mhz processors (67MHz more is not much), while I wasnt aware that Galaxy 3 had 256MB RAM (i thot its arnd 180mb).The internal memory does play a role on the performance.
The most imp point to note is even tho Galaxy has better specs, it performs worse than the Optimus when it comes to Gaming, photography, and since the resolutions is weird, compatibility of apps/games becomes an issue. If u read my post carefully, u'll know that I said the resistive (which is as good as Galaxy's capacitive) screen on Optimus is not a prob, coz the RAM/CPU n other technology specs r well-balanced in Optimus. You need to watch videos n read more user reviews. I have.

this is correct way to do it
Performance:
Lg gt540:600mhz,156mb ram
galaxy 3:667Mhz,256 mb ram
Hence galaxy 3 better than lg gt540
Also galaxy 3 is upgradable to android 2.2 while lg gt540
cannot be upgraded to
And capacitive screens are better than resistive ones(read wiki)

Good News for All Those Awaiting Froyo Update:-
Anyway, the update is now available for UK users - to update your Samsung I9000 Galaxy S you'll need the Samsung Kies software (the latest version) and just follow this instructional video. The rollout is a gradual process, but all the UK networks should have it by the end of the month.
Samsung Mobile UK also mentioned that the SAMSUNG I5801 Galaxy Apollo will be getting a taste of Froyo once the I9000 Galaxy S rollout is done.

Multimedia:
Samsung Galaxy 3 and Motorola Quench (as some1 just said) have below average cameras. LG Optimus GT540 offers great quality Video recording and a good enough camera, with autofocus.
Music in LG Optimus is awesome, tho speaker output for Rock/Metal music isnt great, for Bollywood/Pop/Hip-Hop, its good.
Gaming completely sucks on Samsung Galaxy 3, great on LG Optimus
Performance:
LG Optimus - accessible Internal storage - 130mb (its official 2.1 update is available now)
Motorola Quench - 100mb
Samsung Galaxy 3 - guessing its 150-170mb (not sure)
LG Optmius has a resistive screen (as good as an average capacitive screen, but the performance is much better than Samsung Galaxy 3 as the touchscreen response depends upon the CPU and RAM available, too.
Winner - LG Optimus GT540 and if u can wait for 1 to 1.5 months, LG Optimus One will be available for Rs.13-14,000 (approx)

Samsung I5800 vs Apple 3GS
I bought Samsung I5800 because of good price and specs are closed too. OS is also good.
No battery issue guys almost 2days

i dont now why samsung come's up with ... moreregarding battery problem
just go to wap.getjar.com from phone,download battery apps,or just go to samsungapps.com download battery saving apps.
