Samsung Galaxy 3 GT-I5801
This phones battery performance is very very poor. It takes more than 3.30hrs to get fully charged. The power doesn't last even a day. When it reaches 50%, chances are that it may go down to 5% very shortly. Samsung has released the phone without proper factory testing. Samsung claims it is a powerful battery but what is the use. I have followed all battery calliberation methods while charging but of no use. Fresh buyers be cautious about this problem with the phone. I think samsung will stop production of this model all of sudden. It is better for samsung if they follow stringent factory testings before it reaches stores.

every galaxy 3 users download mixzing player from the market as it has equaliser along with BASS....
wow now my phone's audio quality is great with the BASS,, just like sony's walkman phones

There is no chance that Samsung GT-5801 will get this update. Here is the reply I got from Samsung regarding this. "Android 2.2 version is not available for GT-I5801 handset".

navneet, 26 Oct 2010my galaxy 3 bcomes a mess,i download some paid apps from 4shared.com and aftr tt my phone had ... moredon't worry. your phone cannot root itself. Everyone's phone in India has the same kernel version. it helps during the upgrading to next version. it helps the person rooting to give the correct rooting code. your phone is just fine.

my galaxy 3 bcomes a mess,i download some paid apps from 4shared.com and aftr tt my phone had bcome venerable to phone calls.but i had reset phoen and sd card but still come time its get hang.whn i checked my "firmware version"it says "2.1-update 1" and "kernel version 2.6.29 root@SE-S604 #2".as it was not seen bfore i use paid apps for free from 4shared.com....help me pls as i m scared is my phone get rooted or not....as i don't want to root my phone...

i am using galaxy3 for more than a month now and will rate it as follows
touch - 10, mindblowing same as my bro's samsung wave
UI - 8, but after installing launcher pro and beautiful widget- 10
Music - 9, better than my previous n82 but bundeled headphones lack bass
Cmera - 8, good 3MP sensor but lacks flash only usable in daylight
I havnt used x8 but hav used its big daddy x10, and found its UI better. I cant say that x8 got the same UI...
By the way smaller screen of x8 wud be the dealbreaker for me...

Hello frnds i m facing a problem in sending msg of more then 180 words.. Msg more then 180 word becomes MMS aoutomaticaly.
Is i hav to mak any change if yes then wt is this or any reasone should i go to service center helppppp me

As for battery life galaxy3 has 1500 mA battery whereas x8 has 1200...
AND about LG, i cant say its worth buying (as i am not an expert) but its worth waiting... I have a good hope for this phone as its previous version optimus gt540 did great in market and i m hoping the same for this one...

I wana buy a touch phone. Have shortlisted galaxy 3 n xperia x8. I want good battery lyf, good music clarity in speaker n headphones, no call drops, good cam, great touch response, good display, easy UI (samsung is a bit complicated).
can u plz help me out with the either of 2 phones mentioned. SE will be upgrading to 2.1 in near future so both phones have android 2.1.
