Hello All,
I have updated my Samsung Galaxy 3 from Android 2.1 to Android to 2.2 after that my phone is working very slow. Application like FM radio voice's comes different fashion sometimes high and sometimes low without touch volume control this was not there before update. For opening contacts and call history it takes lot of time. For opening any application it takes lot of time. If I am using Internet(2G) it eats lot of battery it lost only for 1 or 2 hours. Over all what i want to say is , is there any way out by which i can improve my phone speed and performance please suggest.

Instead of removin the last character frm Settings...y dont u dwnload APN(One touch on/off)or u can also dwnload Android Booster...to disable/enable internet.

I am facing regular network problem in this phone. Itsc onnectivity with the Service provider is losed often /terminated and after few seconds / minutes it re-establishes the connectivity (shows full tower signal). During that time we cannot call / message anybody.The phone become completly useless.
Samsung service centers are not able to fix this issue.

Anonymous, 03 Oct 2011overclock ur phone by the applicatin " overclock android" in the maketu cannot overclock just by using an app. u need 2 flash an overclockable kernel 2 overclock.

priya, 11 Oct 2011should I upgrade my phone to froyo or should I be satisfied with eclair..many are saying that ... moreupdating to 2.2 makes ur fone pretty fast nd supports moving apps to sdcard. if swype doesn't work just root ur fone nd install Swype again.

Hey,
As far as I know this mobile is quite worth it.
What I did was to flash the rom to Indroid v3.00 lagfix.
It's pretty decent, you could experience a magnificent change in your device. The rom is pretty fast, with no lags, battery? No issues, it's way better than the stock rom. For those who expect gaming from this device,
I'm sorry it lacks the required graphic drivers to run high end 3D games. But, Thanks to the developers
who found this app "chainfire 3d" using which we can reduce the quality and it makes the game playable(as said before, do not expect high end. :P).
I download games from this site, All the games work smooth, http://samsung-i5800.org.ua/games/games (the site is russian I guess, you should activate auto translator in chrome).
And, Many may wonder what flashing is OR how to be done. See this video to flash, It's an easy tutorial by Rudolf(LOLLLLLLLSSS OF cheers to him),

There's no need to think or panic, its really easy and can be done in about 15mins*.
To revert back to stock rom,
