Ani on now now that it is possibel tu upgrade the apollo to android 2.2. "Froyo". But what no on now is:
-when is the update avaliable for apollo?
-how can i update to froyo? With the Samsung Kies or need a other program to update?
Can som one awnser this quastions?
Please post a torturial or a video to now how to do the update.

The one with capacitive buttons at bottom is the Indian version.

i m from india..i bot this pone b4 1 week and i love this phone.i used many handsets in upper band but i never been seen feature like galxy 3.gps working betterrrrrrrrrrrrrrr you ppl cant imagin.now i am using 3g giving me download speed 400kbps can you imagin?yeah its true 1gb in 2 hour.....overall i m having exprience with future phone.i advice to ppl buy it with close eye..i dont have words abt this phone

Which one out of these is the Indian version...

The silver one has capacitive keys at the bottom while the black one has hard keys. Please confirm which one is available in India.

Can an Indian customer confirm if it has multi-touch? I went to a Samsung showroom and there they said it does not support multi-touch... Maybe they removed the feature from the Indian devices??

Aravind, 02 Sep 2010Hi Guys, I have some MP3 & wav files stored in my laptop, i am able to transfer those ... moreMan, I am a poor Linux user, so I can't install the PC suite itself. But I can tell you what worked for me. I just used a card-reader and filled it with all the songs, videos etc. Just inserted it in and it scanned the media for a while and that's it! I am able to play MP3s. WAV I have not tried. But mp4, wma etc are working fine.

[deleted post]I had 163 MB when I bought. This memory is used to store apps. The phone comes with 2 GB card. I have replaced it with 8 GB. No lag...
Until we get Android 2.2 update, we can't move the apps to SDcard.

I have charged it yesterday. Had calls over 2 hours. WiFi, music, bluetooth etc. It is still 60%. Batter backup is good.
Regarding sliding qwerty, it is your choice. In my opinion, lesser the mechanical moveable part, the more durable and reliable the phone is. So I prefer bar models.
Negative of the phone is, still I am unable to find an always-on flip type leather pouch and scratch guard sticker covering the full front for this phone.

Hi Guys,
I have some MP3 & wav files stored in my laptop, i am able to transfer those files into phone , but unable to play it says unsupported file. I used the "kies" software that came with the phone, installed the first cd. It came with 2 cd's. unable to get the mp3 files play on my phone.Need help !

Hi All,
I'm planning to but this phone as the specs seem great at the quoted price. But got a doubt looking at the comparison with HTC wildfire. It stated in gsmarena.com that I 5800/5801 does not support tethering. I regularly use tethering in my old phone to browse using my laptop. I really cant beleive that such a high end phone does not allow tethering.
Any comments / clarifications on the same.

Anonymous, 01 Sep 2010DEAR USERS Does it supports 3d gaming? which one is better lg optimus gt540 or this one?I'd safely say that the Apollo is better than the optimus in terms of usability due to the multi-touch capacitive screen available on the apollo , in terms of gaming i'd say the Apollo would do better too due to the faster processor
